Additional info & updates

I have low numbers.... I took an LSAT class, and yes I still have a 145. I was getting 160-165 on practice tests only days before the exam!!! The day of test, besides the blizzard I had to walk through to take it.... I basically froze up during test time. I have never been a great standardized test taker. I have some issues with calming down during the test... I was completely over anxious!

*** I just want to point out, I believe the LSAT test should change the way they conduct their test. I am not saying they need to add more time or anything like that, simply let us take the writing section FIRST rather than last. That is a 35 min section that would ease us into the test rather than checking in, sitting down and then WHAM here is the first section of a test to determine your potential future earning.***

I am hopeful to get accepted to any T2,T3,T4 school.... Succeed beyond anyone's wildest dreams as a L1 and then transfer out. lol.My target school is the University Of Pittsburgh. It is close to home and is just all around a great school.

** I have no doubts that I will receive tons of denials... but I have a strong (I believe) personal statement and hopefully someone out there will take a chance on me. If they do they will be satisfied with the outcome. So bring on the denials because they only strengthen my resolve... you can attempt to keep me out, but I am meant for this and I will persevere and succeeded.... BARE WITNESS!

UPDATES:

4/5/10: Got the first of many rejections... American University. It was a wishful application, most of them are at this point. Just thought I would give it a try.

4/30/10: Got my second letter informing me that I was not selected as worthy enough to join the 2010 class at Suffolk. Once again not to surprised... I'm still holding out hope that I will get into a part time program somewhere.

5/4/10: Akron let me know by email that they didn't want me... that was a nice little email :(

5/27/10: Got a few more rejections...got accepted at Florida Coastal, but I am not going to attend. I just got a new job that pays around 60k a year, so unless I am accepted at a good school which looks doubtful now I will just work and try again next year perhaps... Its really tough to continue this path after reading recently in the new york times about how tough it is for graduates from NYU, Harvard, Yale and other top 10 LS to get jobs. The field is saturated with lawyers and very few jobs. :( not much to say.

We're kind of in the same situation with our numbers. I took an LSAT course too. Still have a 144. Good luck!

Good Luck

I know how you feel with the LSAT...I got a tutor and took a class and still only got a 148. Hope the admissions committee will look at you more than a number!
