I don't really know what I am looking for in terms of law school. A very large part of me feels like I won't get accepted to any law school. I am going to give this a try anyway I'll really know what kind of chances I have in November after I get the results of my LSAT back I just started my prep for the test about a week ago I hit a 143 without ever studying or looking at an LSAT so I felt that wasn't so bad. I feel like with 2 months hardcore studying I should be in the 160-165 range (I have to shoot high cause of my crap GPA). That should be enough to get me into Wayne State (lets hope!). I also have letters of recommendation from a chief judge who speaks at WSU law school sometimes and the Governor of Michigan and two professors at WSU so I feel like with a strong LSAT I should be able to get in. I am planning to apply to U of M as well I know it is a super long shot but the judge who is writing me the letter of recommendation (I also interned for him) graduated from U of M law so I may have a small chance if I can get a killer LSAT score.

I just got my report card it is more than likely too late to try to woo laws schools with my grades but I did hit a 3.2 so If my report card in the fall looks the same maybe it could help admissions offices not think that I'm an idiot.

About time LSN is up and running for the 10-11 cycle. I am still studying hard for the LSAT I am up to a 150 on my practice exams. I really think that after it is all said and done I will be at WSU for the first year. I just sent off for WSU to send me an application in the mail. I hope to send it off incomplete on Oct 1. I will over the next week be requesting the application packets form the other 7 or 9 schools I intend on applying to. I am going to be taking another LSAT this weekend so I'll update this on Monday. Lets hope I can get in the 153-155 range. This is the start to a very nasty cycle!!!!!

PISSED!!!!! On my latest practice LSAT I hit a 146 I totally bombed the first section of Arguments and the Reading Comprehension section as well by only getting 10 right in each section. I spent about 15 minutes reading a passage that I knew nothing about even after I read it I was still clueless, I have to learn to skip those ones. I also feel very good about the games section as out of the 18 question answered I got 16 right I feel like if I could just speed up a little I could get 20- 21 right in that section I also got 17 right on the second Arguments section after I calmed down. I am going to start taking two test a week now that I am down to the last month before the test. I must say that I haven't done very much in terms of studying this past week because of the start of school. School is going to have to get put on the back burner for now because I need to eat, sleep, and breathe LSAT questions. I am going over the the last practice exam over the weekend and I will be taking another test on Tuesday. Lets hope for higher numbers like 153-155 ( I know that a huge jump)!!!!!!

OK, I went over my last LSAT and now realize that I was just rusty because I went back over all my wrong answers and see that I clearly wasn't in my right mind, I am expecting to hit a high number tomorrow as I have been studying all weekend and feel very good about the practice test tomorrow I just ordered another 10 test from LSAC it hurt my feelings to come out of 80 bucks but it will hopefully pay off.

you will definitely be able to get into law school. the key is to apply to a lot of schools, and be sure to apply to several "safety" schools. the LSAT is most typically weighed a bit more heavily than your GPA, and my best advice is to order the last several actual LSATs from LSAC for study. And DEFINITELY write an addendum if you can explain any discrepencies with your UGPA. If you can't, then be sure to point out somewhere on your app that you have raised your GPA (maybe you saw the light a little late). Don't give up hope! I have a low GPA as well, and while it is definitely detrimental it isn't a death sentence in terms of law school. Good luck!
