Extracurricular Information
Looking for a school to find me as a niche candidate since my numbers are unfortunately low. Low LSAT seems to have ruined any underdog/splitter victories.
Softs:
4 years work exp, diverse legal work history.
4 excellent recs.
Solid extracurriculars.
Strong UG GPA addendum.
Graduate degree with high GPA at a top tier school.

Additional Information
12/30/08: Rejected at Northwestern. No shocker, really, but disappointed nonetheless. Looks like the LSAT is going to be my downfall this cycle...already contemplating putting off LS for another year and hitting the LSAT again.
12/29/08: Decision letter sent by UMN. This means rejection according to conventional wisdom about calls. Damn.
12/18/08: Deferred at Kent. Not really sure what this means considering I didn't apply there ED. They asked if I wanted to be considered for their evening program, so I'm wondering if they are trying to fill it. I'm sticking with day full-time, so we'll see how this ends up.
12/19/08: Rejected by Cornell but invited to make a transfer application. Very nice letter.
12/5/08: Received packet from Vermont. $10k per year merit scholarship. Very compelling. Info materials are very compelling too. Thanks VLS!
12/3/08: Just received an email from Vermont -- accepted to JD/MELP! Feels great to get the first one!
--
Hoping specifically for Northwestern, UMN, Wisconsin, Kent and Vermont. Cornell is a school that likes well-rounded applications, and I thought their process may be more forgiving to me. But from the looks of it, Wisconsin is my last hope.
I recognize most of my schools are reaches, but I know that I'm an excellent student and I'm hoping one of these fine schools will take that chance on me even though I'm below their median percentiles.
Good luck to everyone!

Hey, thanks. Yeah, hopefully our soft-factors and essays can get us over the edge! Good luck to you too and hope you get at least a few of those schools on your list to give you acceptance letters.

Best of wishes on your list, we got pretty similar numbers. Just wondering if your gonna spread your apps out with a few more apps? and I'm just curious, how'd you come up with your list?
