Extra Curricular Information

Typical "strong" softs like research, President of various groups, volunteerism.

LORs from honors thesis adviser and two other professors.

Spent year after undergrad working and taking graduate-level courses (pursuing joint degree in law school) so I was technically still a student.

Additional info & updates

Putting up numbers after the cycle. Overall, not bad!

Large scholarship at Wisconsin, Indiana, Chicago-Kent, Loyola, and Iowa.

Not very much money at the other "higher ranked" schools I got into, especially at money friendly places like WashU.

Picked Wisconsin because of little-to-no debt I would incur, strong reputation in the Midwest (I'd like to practice in Chicago or Minneapolis), ability to pursue joint degree programs, and comfort with the campus.

Decided between Wisconsin, Illinois, WashU, and BU in the end. But Illinois didn't place well enough to justify the extra cost and WashU/BU, while great schools, are still limiting because of their non-t14 status. Not worth the almost 6-figures of debt I would take on after interest.

As of June, I am still waitlisted at Cornell and Georgetown although I am not holding out much hope. Not that hung up about it, though.

Go Badgers!
