Additional info & updates

My advice to other's during this cycle:

1. Do not beat yourself up over a low GPA/LSAT score.

If you have the opportunity to raise either one, then by all means do so. However, if you are unable to and have done ALL that you could do within your power, then embrace your gpa/score and still apply to your dream school having faith that you WILL get in. You must think positive and believe in yourself because after all, if you dont believe in yourself then no else will.

2. Dont be afraid of a challenge.

Once all of the acceptance letters start pouring in, dont not be surprised that you may have gotten into a top school that you applied to just for the heck of it. One thing I dont think you should do is to rule it out because you may think the work will be TOO hard. You never want to think that you CANT handle the work of any school. We are all capable of doing the work of any school, because if we werent we wouldnt have gotten in. So do not limit yourself!! The experience that you would get at that top school will probably outweigh any experience that you would have had by applying to all the other schools on your list.

3. Money isnt everything.

Yes, I know that some students decision to go to law school will heavily depend on the amount of scholarship/financial aid they will receive. I am in no way discrediting these students decisions. Though, I think that if you have a full ride to Backyard University (a tier SIX school)yes this is a fictitious situationand a partial scholarship to Golden Star University (a tier ONE school) then there is no doubt that you should go for Golden Star. I believe that, unlike undergrad, your experience in professional school will determine your future. Not to say that you cant succeed by going to Backyard University. But if you have the option to go to a better school then take advantage of that and you will be more certain of a great job opportunity after graduation.

*I will be adding more advice as the cycle progresses. You may or may not completely agree with my opinions and thats fine. I am writing this for those who may be struggling to make decisions about law schools.*

Feel free to leave comments. Many blessings to all on this cycle :-)

I'm only applying to schools in NYC and ATL b/c of some constraints. Eventually I want to live in ATL.
