Desperado (2022-2023)

Student government, broad range of charity work. Worked 30 hours per week while in school.

When I matriculate, I will have 4 years work experience as a teacher/vice-principal/counselor at my hometown high school. When I arrived, it was a rural school with a terrible reputation and worse test scores. Since then, I've started several AP classes (all of which I teach), extracurricular programs, and have helped raise our test scores by significant margins, taking the school from rural obscurity to national recognition (twice, the school - and me personally - have received national commendations for the improvements). When I graduated from there, I was the only one in my class to attend college. This year, over half the class will attend universities across the country. Last year, I started my own non-profit consultancy group to aid other schools in similar situations - designing programs and recruiting the talent needed to implement them. I hope to use my legal education to pursue a career in politics, with public education as one of my primary policy interests.
