Phone call notification from Drexel Law- admitted with scholarship of $10,000/yr.
I really like Drexel and it's a fairly easy commute by train. Unfortunately, even with schol. $, it would still cost around 20k/yr. As a married SAHM, money has been tight. 20k is definitely a big issue- plus the preschool expenses we'd face :/

Snail mail packet from Widener Law. Widener was a back-up option... but with a 14k scholarship, it's hard to turn down. (If I had gotten the same amount from Drexel, I'd have withdrawn from Wid. and Vill...)
I should have married for money ;).... this is TOO hard!

It's been a very slow holiday week. Temple started letting people in with LSAT scores around my range (yay!), but higher GPAs (moan). I feel like my first year grades and illness are totally going to kick my butt in this cycle.
I visited the school last week for an info session, which made me feel better, though. I really liked the school, some of the programs that were mentioned seemed like they were pretty interesting. I also felt more confident in the fact that my application was complete in early Nov. Most of the other applicants at the info session had questions about taking the LSAT, getting recommendations sent, etc. At least I'm way ahead of them!
Cross your fingers for me!!!
Happy Chanukkah, Merry Christmas, Good Holidays, w.e. :)

Temple is definitely my top choice- the PT program would allow me to stay home PT with my toddler and use her PT preschool schedule to concentrate on schoolwork. Hubby would be home evenings, so I could attend classes.
(However, I know my low GPA is going to make me unlikely at Temple. I'd be happy to attend Villanova or Drexel...)
Low GPA is result of illness first year of college. I missed too many classes, assignments, and exams, and basically screwed up my GPA big time. After switching schools, I graduated with a much higher GPA.
