11-20-08: Got into UGA via status checker! First one..

11-30-08: Got UGA's acceptance letter in the mail

12-5-08: Alright, I almost wish I didn't hear from UGA (ok maybe not) because now that I have I can't stop checking the mail for other letters! Ahh..I have a long way to go..it's only December..

12-8-08: Big envelope from William & Mary..got accepted! Also offered in-state tuition and $42,600 fellowship! :)

Also 12-8-08: Letter from Georgetown saying "the record you present is a strong one, and the Committee on Admission has chosen to postpone your final decision"...I don't know why, but I am happy about this! They didn't reject me! I should know by late-February.

Got a fee waiver from Washington & Lee..should I apply? Any thoughts?

12-10-08: E-mail from UGA offering in state tuition for the first year, and an opportunity to apply for Georgia residency afterwards to get in-state tuition the second and third years.

12-12-08: UF "decision letter in transit"

12-13-08: Got the acceptance letter in the mail from UF!

12-22-08: Got into GMU via phone call. I'm home for the holidays and therefore left my mailbox where my decision letters are being sent to. I wasn't planning on hearing anything until I return to school, so this was a nice surprise!

1-22-09: Waitlisted at UVA. Wasn't expecting too much, so this is fine with me, better than being rejected.

1-23-09: Acceptance letter from UC Hastings!

1-27-09: Acceptance e-mail from GWU!! First top 25 school..yay!!

1-29-09: Went to decision at Vanderbilt, I think it's going to be a waitlist. Fingers crossed.

1-30-09: Big envelope from GWU with a personal note from the Dean. Very nice.

1-31-09: Waitlisted at Vandy, which I expected.

2-13-09: Today I got a call from Dean Schwartz. I got into my dream school UCLA. I literally started crying.

2-16-09: Today I withdrew some of my applications. I want to give other people a chance to be admitted to these great schools.

2-19-09: Got the rejection letter from Georgetown. No big surprise. While the first rejection letter stings a little, nothing can upset me after my UCLA acceptance!

2-20-09: Got a call from UTexas- I'm in! A little surprised about this one, but very happy! Don't know too much about Austin, may have to go for a visit soon!

2-24-09: Checked my Berkeley status checker.."we regret to inform you"..never want you want to hear. However, I'm not disappointed at all, it was a complete reach and so I'm fine with it.

2-26-09: In at Emory via snail mail.

3-21-09: Wailisted at USC. At this point, no need to pursue the wailist, I have UCLA!

4/2/09: Finally heard back from Wash U. I am officially done with my cycle, and glad that it ended with an acceptance! I'm still not 100% sure where I am going to be in the fall, after UCLA's ASD in 2 weeks I should know!

May-June: Over the summer I found out that I got into Vandy after being waitlisted..wow. Maybe if I had found out earlier things would have been different, but I have made up my mind..I AM GOING TO UCLA :)
