WHY WON'T FORDHAM ACCEPT ME
Update: Added the non-Fordham schools to the list. I'm still hoping to get off that waitlist, but in the meantime I'll see what my fallbacks are.

Sorry about the WL. Fordham happens to be on the top of my list too, and we have the same LSAT score. How about writing a strong LOCI come Jan/Feb or so? Also, still reasonably early to apply to other places, no? Good luck.

Ask Fordham to consider you for Part Time admission. You can then switch over to the Full Time at the end of 1L. If you want to get into Fordham please do this.

I'm not going to B.S. you, if fordham was your dream then this really bites. I do think you should try sending another essay or ask about going PT. Continue to show interest.

I would go with washing the dean's car. But seriously, you have great numbers, they shouldn't have waitlisted you :P I will withdraw asap. Send a loci for sure. Good luck!

Good luck! You can make it. I haven't decided where to attend yet. I have a pretty serious boyfriend in NYC at Cardozo and will also have to consider financial aid, but I promise you that if I decide to go to law school elsewhere I will withdraw my application right away.

Think positive! Fordham is my dream too! Send a LOCI and a statement that you want to be reconsidered for the PT division. You could then switch to FT after your 1L. It will work out for the best :)

How can you only afford to go full time? It isn't like you'd get a scholarship with those numbers anyway. Ask to be considered for pt and just treat it like ft. I don't see the difference financially other than it's cheaper the first year then you just switch into ft.

I would need to apply for Federal Student loans and student health care and, as far as I know, those require you to be a full-time student.

Fortunately, you are mistaken. You should be able to get Federal loans, as long as you are enrolled at least half time. Fordham PT is only one class short of full time, so you would definitely qualify. However, with your numbers, you probably won't have to risk it. My money is on your ascent from the wait list by Fordham's next batch of acceptances / rejections.
I am attempting PT, with numbers less sterling than yours, but unusual softs. Maybe we'll see each other next year?
