Additional info & updates

I am applying for the 2010-2011 Cycle.

I want to go to Harvard.

I have a Minor In Consumption Charge in Arizona (class 2 misdemeanor) I'm trying to get Expunged.

I'm doing a study abroad program. Hopefully it will give me an international appeal to me and a great letter of rec.

2/17 - I took the February LSAT on the 6th. IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST DAYS OF MY LIFE. I was PT-ing at an average of 174 for 30 most recent tests including a 180 on my second to last test. On test day, I froze on a game (which was very unheard of for me). I got nervous and ended up not getting any solid answers. GUESSED ON 6 QUESTIONS ON GAMES! I thought, despite that section, that I did well on the rest of it. It was a very hard decision whether to cancel or not. I decided NOT TO CANCEL because it provides insurance for me if something goes horribly wrong in October (then next time I am planning on taking it). Also, it was very hard to try to bring myself to not even see what I got (albeit not my best) after working so hard for 2 months on something. Devastating either way. I'm predicting a 168 but hoping for 170 . I would not retake if I got a 173 (maybe 172).

3/3 - So, I got my LSAT score. 169. Not awful, not what I can achieve though. I'm not mad about the score (after coming to terms with knowing that I effed up an entire game). I'm happy I didn't cancel. I would have FOREVER WONDERED what I got. Plus I could have done well. If someone told me, you got a 169, wanna cancel, I would say no. It's great insurance for October. I can probably have a decent shot at Georgetown and Michigan or Cornell. So, now I just wait till I take this bitch again in October.

11/19 - Just sent out all my apps. Didn't spend too much time at all on them, but hopefully things take care of themselves. Probably a bad personal statement but I don't care that much. I got my new LSAT score from October. 173. I was PTing at 178 and getting 180s regularly, but I thought I bombed it on the day of so I wasn't overly pissed. Still, a 175 would have been nicer and easy if I hadn't missed some dumb questions. All I can do now is wait and wait and see where they let me in.

12/6 - In at Boalt and JR1 in the same day!!! So nice! Crazy thing is my interview is tomorrow! So little time to prepare, I'm really nervous. I hope it goes well. It's still nice knowing I'm in somewhere really great already.

12/20 - JR2!!!! Can't believe it. I'm so happy it all worked and came together for me! Wooohooo!

I didn't even bother applying to Yale since Harvard was my first choice (NYU would have been my second). If you get into Yale, will you still definitely attend Harvard? Hope to see you in Cambridge!
