Additional info & updates

4/7/2011- Anyone who tells you that strong recommendations and a great resume can help you is full of it. If you have a 148-153 on the LSAT, take the LSAT again or don't apply.

4/12/2011- I really, really, really, really hope I get into South Texas part-time. Taking another gap year and retaking the LSAT sounds horrible to me.

4/25/2011- Still no word from South Texas. I was told last week by an admissions assistant that I would have an answer by the end of April...

5/3/2011- I will be taking the LSAT again and trying again next cycle.

Great resume and recommendations

BUT, my LSAT score sucks.

I did visit Wesleyan's law school and really liked it. It is my first choice at this point. I really hope I can get accepted despite my LSAT score.

I think you have a high chance of getting in. You have the numbers. I have a friend working in admissions and he said they picking out applications at random. You could always start law school this Fall and then transfer. I think that would be a great move because of the potential earnings you could miss out on waiting another year. I had a chance to visit Barry. I like it. I'm counting on STC as well, but if it doesn't work out I'm gonna try to transfer.

I totally agree with you!! I bought all that bull about the resume and recommendations, too. I wish I had seen this website before I took the LSAT. I would have studied longer. I did get into some schools, but no scholarships. LSAT is EVERYTHING. Softs don't matter. I can't decide whether to wait and take it again or go with one of the schools I got into.
