Try some more schools
Tuesday, February 14 2012 at 07:00 PM

Hey, I'd recommend trying some lower-ranked schools. The DC area has some schools who might want you based on your numbers, your minority status, and your work experienced. Try Catholic U., American U., and Howard. Even though your minority status and your work experience might help, they most likely won't be enough to overcome your numbers at the schools you're trying for. Another option would be to get your score near the 170's. Then you'll have a decent shot at the schools you're applying for (GULC, GW, Cornell, etc etc). Good luck. I am in a similar situation as yours, so I speak from experience. This is my second cycle applying and I can speak to how my first cycle went.
