Additional info & updates

Fee Waivers: IU-Bloomington, Alabama, Loyola NO, Oregon, Miami, Colorado, Hofstra, Suffolk, Kentucky, Seton Hall, and a bunch of other schools I don't remember.

Scholarships are per year.
Dates:
11/6 - Complete at GULC via online status checker
11/9 - Complete E-mail received from WFU, decision within 6-8 weeks. Residency e-mail received from LSU, jumping through hoops to prove I'm still a La. resident.
Received "application complete" e-mail from Tulane. Said decisions will come "in the spring months"
Received another e-mail from LSU indicating I was pretty much complete.
11/28 - Colorado requested my report 11-15, still no word from UNC, Miami or Colorado on whether I have gone complete or not. Received Alabama fee waiver over Thanksgiving break. I think I'm going to apply. Tuscaloosa could be fun.
12/01 - Anxiously awaiting Gtown letter. Should be here by the 15th. Complete at Boulder via e-mail, should receive decision 4-6 weeks after the holidays, they say.
12/05 - Sent Alabama. Found out I'm not actually complete at LSU pending a residency decision.
12/06 - Report requested at Alabama. Miami says I should have a decision within a week.
12/08 - Rejected at Georgetown. Thin white envelope.
12/09 - In at Miami, yellow envelope
12/12 - In at LSU, thick white envelope! No mention of $$.
12/15 - Informed I received a University of Miami dean's merit scholarship via phone. $23,000/year. Holy crap.
1/8 - IN at TULANE! No mention of $$.
1/16 - Alabama sent me an e-mail that made it sound like I had been deferred until the spring. Decision by 'end of April' they say.
1/22 - Waitlisted at Wake Forest. Can't say I didn't see that one coming.
1/27 - $8k at LSU. 3/4 tuition by mail.
1/30 - Decided to apply to Loyola NO part-time, found out I had a fee waiver.
3/15 - In at LoyNO Part Time with $12k scholarship. Leaning toward LSU. Will attend visit day. Withdrew from Miami because I'm not going there (hot).
3/19 - Waitlisted at Colorado Boulder. Might stay on the list even though I'm pretty sure I'm not interested in going... Am probably going to withdraw from Wake Forest today because I've become uninterested in going to Winston-Salem.
3/26 - Received correspondence from Alabama last week. Still haven't made a decision. Sent a letter of continuing interest. Anxiously awaiting UNC-CH decision so I can get this process over with. Leaning toward LSU.
3/30 - Went to dinner with an LSU professor last night and several other LSU admits. Very impressive. Hoping the school will reconsider my scholarship offer and seal the deal for me. Also received my need-based scholarship award letter from Tulane which, suffice to say, was not a lot... at all. Will withdraw from Tulane and most likely Wake in the next few days.
4/9 - Sent first seat deposit in to LSU. Will visit this week.`
4/23 - Done and done. Haven't heard from UNC or Bama (a good thing?) Staying on some Waitlists just to see what happens at Wake and Colorado, but it looks like I'll be a Tiger once again.
7/5 - Well, my final update. I'll leave this up for future applicants. All I can say is shoot for the stars. I got waitlisted a lot and if I had actually put some work into them probably could have gotten in, but I've decided to head back to LSU. The money they offered is nice and the program is up-and-coming. UNC finally rejected me in June (thanks a lot, finally) and I'm still on the 'Bama and Boulder waitlists in case LSU burns down.

All I have to say is LSAT is king, the folks here at LSN and at lawschooldiscussion.org really helped me a lot with this process and I hope others can utilize and benefit from the same resources.

Geaux Tigers.

They sent me an email, but it went straight to my junk mail folder, which is wierd because none of the other law school emails did. It didn't use the words the words complete exactly, but it said they are processing my application and will notify me if anything is missing, so i guess that's all i'll here from them unless something is missing.

I got a letter in the mail on Friday to say I was accepted. Then on Saturday I got another letter offering a small scholarship. I'm shocked that they already accepted me. They had sent me an email just a few weeks before to say that decisions won't be out until late spring.

Cycle so far!

Thanks for your comments on my site, and great job with that 23 grand per year scholarship to suntan-U. I would expect that if you want to stay in Florida - who wouldn't - that would be a great place to attend. Best wishes with Tulane also.

Congrats on the Miami scholarship man. Where is it looking like you are headed? I got a lot of good news I'm hoping for by April personally.

Thanks!
