Additional info & updates

I have a passion for sports, and I hope to be employed in the industry someday.

I think I had a disappointing cycle for my numbers. A few confusing waitlists. I don't think I had any unusual, detracting factors to my application. No worries though, I think Penn is the perfect school for me regardless!

Cycle Notes:

Scholarships are in 3-year total amounts.

11/23: Priority Track Application for Duke

12/9: On the tenth day of going complete after Priority Track, Duke tells me "We would like to review your fall grades from (my current school). When they are available, please send a copy to LSAC to update your LSDAS report, then let me know when they are ready. Once we have received your updated transcript, we will complete our review of your application". I expect to hear this from multiple schools, as they only have 4 semesters on my transcript. My grades for this semester line up with my current GPA perfectly, so that's good. However, with rolling admissions and scholarships it makes me nervous that I could miss out on something because it will take another month.

12/18: Accepted at Georgetown in mail. First top law school acceptance! Pretty stoked. Would like scholarship money at the school I choose to attend, so I'll be waiting for those decisions when they come. But it's awesome to know at least one good school admitted me!

12/29: Accepted plus full out of state tuition scholarship to Indiana (~128400) via mail.

1/5: Semester grades are in. Raised my GPA from 3.85 to 3.87. Semester was my most rigorous yet, so I hope that counts for something.

1/7: Accepted plus 120k to Illinois (via email, mail to come soon)! I really like the school, and definitely would enjoy going there if it turns out to be the best option. The 120k is currently a full scholarship, and it has been noted that the scholarship may increase if tuition increases. But that hasn't been confirmed yet.

1/7: Accepted at Penn (via phone call)! Scholarship information comes later.

1/8: Accepted at Vanderbilt (via FedEx postmarked 1/6)! Vanderbilt is one of my favorite schools. Scholarship information comes later.

1/9: Priority Reserve at Duke via e-mail. Was really digging the 6 for 6 start, and Duke was one of the last schools I thought would put a hold on me, especially after all the stuff listed above. Duke was one of my top 2 favorite schools too.

1/13: Accepted at Alabama via phone call! Very quick turnaround, and the lady who called has the sweetest southern accent. She invited me to interview for the Dean's Scholarship, which is full tuition plus stipend. Nice.

1/14: Accepted at Maryland via mail, no scholarship offered.

1/18: Accepted at Tulane via email, scholarship information soon via mail.

1/19: Accepted at Texas via phone call! Scholarship information comes later.

1/22: 90,000 at Tulane.

1/28: Texas scholarship via mail! 9,500 per year plus in-state waiver. Nice.

2/8: Waitlisted at Chicago. At least I'm still not rejected anywhere!

2/23: Accepted at UCLA via phone call! Scholarship money too!

2/25: Waitlisted at Michigan. The two schools I loved and thought I could get a scholarship to (and subsequently would have attended), Michigan and Duke, both waitlisted me. Very sad day.

3/7: Got $89,000 to Vanderbilt!

3/8: Waitlist at Virginia. Seriously? 170/3.85 isn't good enough for all these schools?

3/9: Accepted at USC! Scholarship information later.

3/22: Scholarship to UPenn! Totally unexpected! Just in time for their ASW!

3/28: $75,000 to USC.

3/31: Accepted to Cornell. I think my cycle is over.

4/20: Waitlisted at NYU. Don't really care too much about this though.

4/25: Waitlisted at Columbia. No rejections!
