Sorry, couldn't find your screen name in the users list. The Northeastern acceptance came in a fat envelope (white with univ. emblem/regular letter size). There were no emails or phone calls prior to the correspondence. Best of luck to you with your applications =)

I didn't do anything unique for the Fordham ps but did take a lot of time with the my general ps. I basically read statements that were considered 'good' by admission counselors and also followed some general advice from my pre-law advisor. The main point I would stress is to not talk about your resume rather talk about something more personal ie reasons you'd like to practice law, a personal experience and what you learned from it or a influencial family member. Mine personally was a combination of the three.

I went on hold on 12/7/04. Yeah, I knew it was a bit of a long shot; I applied b/c of my TX residency.

FU v. GW

I'm still going back and forth (almost on a daily bases) but with all things being equal, I am leaning toward Fordham at the moment. This is b/c I'd rather practice in NY than DC and GW seems more geared toward students who want to do government/PI work while Fordham seems like the place to go if you want to work in private practice. I still may change my mind after my visits and once I get my 'finanicial package' letter (ie available loans/grants).
