Additional info & updates

Took the LSAT in December and applied late to all of these schools except for Southwestern and Golden Gate. My LSAT score is extreme crap, but I think I wrote an interesting personal statement that I hope will sway UW at least.

I also applied to several other extreme reach schools. I won't embarrass myself by listing them, but if a miracle occurs then I'll post 'em up. :D

1/20 - Letter from Southwestern saying that I'm eligible for the SCALE program. I had no idea what SCALE was and was totally confused of whether or not I was actually accepted. My actual acceptance letter arrived a few days later, saying I'm also eligible for the Wildman/Schumacher scholarship.

1/22 - "Important Status Update" e-mail from Lewis Clark saying that my app is on hold. Bleh.

2/22 - I've heard absolutely nothing from all the other schools. Most of my apps are still in the "complete" stage with the exception of Santa Clara, which is in review.
SU status has been "Decision pending" since 1/14, which is incredibly frustrating.

2/23 - Status for USF changed directly from "Complete" to "Decision Rendered." Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
*Apparently USF sends out a congratulatory e-mail right after they've accepted you. My inbox is empty of congratulatory e-mails. I guess I'm waiting for a letter telling me about a rejection or waitlist?

2/26 - Penn State app is FINALLY under review after being complete since Jan. 8.

3/1 - Finally got my letter from USF. Waitlisted and will probably withdraw.

3/2 - Rejected at Penn State via e-mail.

3/5 - Decision finalized at USC. Expecting a ding, but still...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

3/10 - ACCEPTED AT SEATTLE VIA STATUS CHECKER! SU's status checker must be delayed because it says I was admitted on 3/5. I checked yesterday and it was still decision pending. But does that matter? Hell no.

3/11 - Got the expected ding letter from USC.

3/13 - Finally in review at the UW. Been ready for review since 1/11.

3/15 - Got my letter of acceptance from SU today. $5,000 Trustee Law Scholarship....for first year studies only?! Bleh.

3/17 - Rejected at Hastings. :(

3/18 - Accepted at UO via e-mail.

3/19 - UW status checker went blank. Considering it hasn't even been a week, I'm fearing a rejection from my own undergrad. :(

3/22 - Rejected at UW. :( This is the hardest rejection considering it's where I'm at now for undergrad.

4/9 - Waitlisted at USD. Somewhat surprised...was expecting a ding.

Yeah...I have heard the same thing about USF sending an e-mail if you get in. Unfortunately, I have not gotten an e-mail so my fate is similiar to yours it seems either a rejection or a waitlist notification is sitting in my mailbox right now. I have similiar stats as you and have gotten into Southwestern and Golden Gate. This has been a depressing cycle, keep getting rejections. :(

I'll cross my fingers for you for Seattle! I'll probably end up there unless I get into Oregon. I was surprised about Southwestern too, but what can you do?

Thanks! I was actually really surprised to find that I got into UW Law, since my LSAT score was really low, but my WA state residency and UW undergrad status may have helped. Good luck!

Hi There, Yes, actually I was, especially since I was rejected from Hastings. I think one of the main reasons I was not rejected from Davis though was that everything on my application is pretty strong EXCEPT my LSAT score. I'm working at a law firm now, I interned at a law firm during undergrad, and with honors and ECs...etc yah, I think that's probably what got me the waitlist. Plus I heard that Davis is much more a "GPA" school than a "LSAT score" school. I hope you hear back soon and I wish you the best of luck. Oh yah, I'm actually still waiting for USD. Did you find out via letter? Someone actually received an email, weird.
