Rejections

I sent requests to both NYLS and William Mitchell about my package and what I needed to improve aside from the obvious low LSAT score. They were happy I requested the info, so just keep that in mind if you intend to reapply. Admissions seems very nice and helpful, but there are just too many applications submitted that will allow students like myself to catch a "break" from low LSAT scores. I was really upset to learn of my rejection to NYLS and was hoping for at least a wait list or AAMPLE offer. Waiting on 2 more applications then need to decide if I will take the LSAT for a 3rd time! I need to continue to work and attend law school in NYC / Long Island area. I'll continue to pray.

I will be praying for you too! Are you in NY area? I live in the Bx. I hope it all goes well for you!

Yes, live on Long Island and work in NYC. I am working full time and need to stay in metro area while in school, so am limited. The waiting is killing me, I hate being in limbo and really hope one of my choices comes through. Otherwise, its back to the grind and more money for prep courses...this is quite a journey.

Have you heard back from Touro?

LSAT

You need to retake the LSAT, you obviously didn't prepare for it. If you aren't going to prepare for the LSAT what makes you think you'll prepare for class each day?

I think it's a bit presumptuous to say "you obviously didn't prepare for it". Unless you and Nsvoyce studied together and you knew EXACTLY how she prepared for it, your comment is quite unkind and uncalled for. LawSchoolNumbers is here for us to chronicle our law school application journey and browse through each other's profiles to help us somewhat better prepare for the answers we will get from the schools. I will go ahead and write what has been taught in preschool for as long as I can remember: if you have nothing nice to say, please do not say anything at all.

Little late on the responses, sorry I was in another prep course for the LSAT . Thanks for getting my back Sheyloavocate14, appreciate it. And as for you AloysiusSully, I hope you take a moment to think before making comments moving forward. If you are not certain of someone's situation, you should refrain from making foolish statements and assumptions. Not like it is any of your business, but I have taken multiple prep courses and been preparing for the LSAT for an extended length of time and do not appreciate your negative and unfounded comments.
