Thanks...I hope so as well. The waiting is really killing me though, I want to know for sure one way or the other and start making plans

Congrats, but why not GW? Btw, Georgetown is continuing to admit I think (good luck!).

One big response

(sorry, haven't checked this in awhile) iceman.... Michigan sent me a very kind letter saying "thanks, but no thanks!" As for the why not GW/BU, well that is somewhat complicated. While I agree that attending GW would have made pushing for GTown a lot easier, I didnt let that enter into my thinking when I was picking between BC/BU/GW. I was on 4 wait lists at the time, and to pick a school based on a hypothetical acceptance from a school in the same city didnt seem very wise. As for the rankings, I didnt put a great deal of stock in the difference between the three. In my opinion, they are all about the same in prestige, regardless to small weighting factors that USNEWS decides upon. They seemed to be in the same basket. So it came down to personal preference regarding the school itself and location. Right away I didnt like GWs size (around 500 in a class), while BC/BU have around 280. I liked GWs campus, but it didnt wow me. I am originally from the northeast and have friends and family in the area. GW would have had to be an easy choice to leave this behind. As for BC/BU, I would consider BC a more prestigious school, although that is a subject of debate at this time. BC had a better campus, and a great reputation for being friendly which sealed the deal for me.
