I have no hope because I want to get into a decent program but my GPA is going to prevent that - which is my fault. I had a bad freshman year which may ruin my chances. Even so, I'm plugging away and working hard in hopes I have an application package which catches the eye of an admissions committee. Can't hurt to apply...
You're a Native American with a 170 and you claim to have no hope? Are you kidding me? The GPA is a secondary factor in most cases, but especially in your case considering your LSAT and your really special URM status. Native Americans seem seem to be locks at schools despite being below the medians. You are a lock for a T-14. Shoot for higher ranked schools. And props on the LSAT score.
You were on my watch list - I figured you decided not to apply this cycle. Looks like you have some great acceptances there! Good to see another NDN on LSN.
On WUSL...and the LSAT! That's a great school and it's getting more and more recognition. I wish I had the LSAT to be more competitive. But the folks here are right. You're more competitive than you think. You're a splitter, but if Freshman year is the only time you struggled they'll definitely see your improvement. KEEP THINKING T-20!!! And just sit back and wait for the $$$--Good luck with the rest of the cycle.
rad scores.
Hey man, just wanted to say congrats and to always have faith. See you did the da*n thing!
You're so inspiring! Keep it up! Which schools have you gotten into?
Upward trends are great! Many admissions officers will consider such a trend by itself, but if the trend is notable for example, if each semester in your 2nd, 3rd and 4th years has a semester GPA that is at least 0.5 above each semester of your freshman year, and there is a specific circumstance that caused the poor grades in the freshman year, and you can prove that you have corrected the cause then according to http://www.deloggio.com/admproc/grades.html you could consider writing a clear and concise explanatory letter with your application, which may have an effect on the decision outcome at some schools.
this guy is full of shit
Why are you hope less? great lsat score!! we are applying to similar schools.. when are you getting the apps out?
