Additional info & updates

All scholarships are per year - as they all have stiuplations for the following years (like maintaining a 3.2 in order to renew the $)

I'm pretty concerned about what my criminal record is going to do to my cycle. Only alcohol-related misdemeanors, but a couple recent ones are what worries me.

1/16/10: Accepted at Arkansas. Wasn't my first choice, but Fayetteville is starting to have a nice ring to it.

1/22/10: I was waiting for a rejection letter from Kentucky, but instead got an acceptance to Tulsa! $18,000 a year if I can maintain a 3.0 gpa - not too bad.

2/10/10: Best day of the year for me so far. Accepted to LSU in the morning (my top choice) and to DePaul later that afternoon. I'll most likely be attending LSU if they can give me any money at all.

2/15/10: Rejected at MSU. Couldn't picture myself being there anyways.

2/16/10: In at Louisville. Was one of my top choices, but it looks like no $ from them, which makes it pretty impossible for me to go there.

Residency

I'm enjoying my first year here. I think the people definitely make the place. As far as the residency thing goes, it is fairly easy to establish residency for the second and third year...what's great about it is tuition is about 5,000 dollars per semester after residency is established...I'm from South Carolina and that is a bargain any way you look at it...even if scholarships are lost in a lot of cases. I'm going to establish residency soon and they should have sent you a paper showing you how to do it...you just have to get a license here, voter registration here, a bank account...and so on...like a list of 7 things and you just BS them and do as much of those as you can to slide into residency...let me know if you have any more questions

sorry i'm so slow on the reply about football!!! i've been super busy hahaha...SEC football is always exciting!!! The tickets here are super cheap for football games...the ones in Fayetteville are 1 dollar per game...and you get a little voucher booklet with all of them in it. as far as the two Little Rock games, i have a lot of friends that went down last season...it's not that far...and i'm sure the tickets are fairly cheap for students. that stadium serves as tradition for 2 games per season and is considered "home." let me know if you have any more questions i'll try to be a little faster on the response

Hi! I am also a student at the UA-F Law school. If you have any questions not yet answered- let me know. I am a transplant from Georgia and looking forward to being here next fall for my 2L year! You have a lot of choices in front of you.... big decision! We'd love to have you here! We need more sports fans to call those hogs! And even though the student seats are cheap- it is relatively easy to get a professor to hand over theirs for all the different sports. Those are some EXCELLENT seats!
