Additional info & updates

11/08- Just sent in my last two applications (well, maybe my last two, still kind of thinking about Michigan). That makes 12 total, with 5 FWs (not too bad).

11/27- I had previously been thinking about Michigan, then I was informed that Michigan had sent a letter to my permanent address offering a FW. So I figured "Why not?" No reason not to.

11/28- I broke down and applied to Yale, knowing my chances of acceptance are slim to none. It was like a compulsion. But hey, now I can say I tried.

12/5- E-mail from my mom saying I received an acceptance letter from Duke. 1 down, 13 to go.

12/14- E-mail from Harvard saying my application is complete. Harvard was the very first law school I applied to. Stanford sent me an application complete e-mail 10 days after I sent the application. Haven't received any e-mails from Berkeley or UCLA. Are these bad signs?

12/21- E-mail acceptance from the University of Illinois. 2 down, 12 to go.

1/11/07- I got a call from Cardozo Yeshiva at 3:14am Korean time. I was offered acceptance, a full tuition scholarship, and a yearly $10,000 stipend. Hopefully, I'll start hearing from the higher ranked schools soon.

1/16/08- Well, only about three months after sending my application to NYU, I got an e-mail saying it was complete. Punctual.

1/17/08- E-mail from my mom telling me I got an acceptance letter from the University of Michigan. 4 for 4.

1/22/08- Deferred at Northwestern.

2/8/08- E-mails from UPenn offering acceptance and Harvard telling me I was deferred. I guess being deferred is better than being outright rejected.

2/18/08- E-mail saying I was deferred at Columbia, 2 more months for a concrete decison. Yargh.

2/20/08- Put on hold at the University of Chicago. Another deferral.

2/25/08- First outright rejection, from Berkeley.

4/1/08- Wait-listed at University of Chicago.

4/10/08- Wait-listed at UCLA. Things have sunk that low, I guess.

4/15/08- Wait-listed at Yale, which was more than I was expected

5/5/08- Rejected at Stanford. It's nice they took almost 6 months to tell me that

Hey! I worked for NOVA as well. I left in January long before it blew up. My time there was definitely the golden age for it. You have great numbers! You should have applied to Yale just for the hell of it, you never know! Good luck! Where in Japan?

Congrats!
