ADDITIONAL INFO & UPDATES

4/17 - Successfully negotiated a scholarship at Seattle U, and deposited there yesterday. Starting in Summer! Staying on the FSU waitlist just in case something happens there. Cycle (effectively) complete!

3/1 - Accepted today at IU-Indy. Happy about this one; will be much happier if I get some $. Something tells me this will be my last acceptance.

2/21 - Received rejection letter from Ark-Fay via snail mail. "Held for further review" at both Lewis & Clark and Florida State. :(

2/2 - Accepted today at Seattle U and U of Idaho.

1/18 - In the past few days, after a long dryspell, I've been accepted by Denver, Pitt, Hofstra and Willamette (w/ 18k). Still waiting on scholarship offers from the first three.

12/27 - Received admissions packet from Pacific today; $20,000 a year (top third stip :/ ), free 1L books, and a flight to Sacramento for ASD.

12/9 - Two snail mail letters today; rejected from Santa Clara, and waitlisted by Marquette. I'm really bummed about Marquette, but it's possible it could be a YP.

12/6 - Decision on the way from Santa Clara, should be here by the end of the week. Just received $15,000 a year from St. Thomas...pretty stoked about it, but certainly not a top choice yet.

12/1 - In at St. Thomas via status checker. Also, in at DePaul!!!

11/29 - And the day after my first acceptance comes my first rejection (University of Kentucky). I really only applied here because of the fee waiver, but it still stings a little bit because I thought I had a good shot. Looks like they're reducing their class size and toughening their admission requirements.

11/28 - In at South Carolina, with an in-state tuition equalizer scholarship! So happy to have my first response be an acceptance...looks like U of Kentucky is next up, either tomorrow or the next couple of days.

11/22 - Status checker at South Carolina changed to 'Decision Sent' yesterday. Unfortunately, it's snail mail, but it means I'll have my first decision in about 3-4 days :D

10/24 - About what I was expecting. 161. Thought about retaking, but I really don't know.

10/1 - Retook the LSAT earlier today. Feel kinda 'meh' about it. Probably a 160 worst case, 165 best case. Literally just knocked on wood.

Mostly $. I have been living in WV about two years now so I was able to get in state tuition. That and the small scholly make WVU a pretty safe choice. Pitt and Denver were extremely hard to turn down, but I can't justify putting myself in that kind of debt. Having some solid network connections in WV doesn't hurt either. Good luck with your cycle!

Well my parents are retiring to the area. So I'd like to be close to them. Also, I didnt see myself practicing in Alabama so I would have no real personal contacts outside of alabama after I graduated.
