10-03-07: In at Duke, via e-mail (priority track)

10-31-07: Complete via e-mail at Harvard, but no phone interview request yet. Doomed?

11-12-07: In at Texas, via phone call (nice of them to do on a holiday)

11-13-07: Status checker at Michigan says "Decision" as of this morning. Oh my goodness.

11-15-07: That big, beautiful package with the big block M came today. Am I a total geek for enjoying the movie they sent so much?

11-23-07: Double activity today. Accepted at WUSTL (with news that I am being considered for one of their Scholars in Law Awards).

Also, letter from Texas with offer of $21,000 (and possibly more later).

12-01-07: In at Wayne State, via snail-mail (very thin letter-sized envelope).

12-07-07: Double activity again. E-mail from W&L offering admission.

Snail-mail from UIUC, offering admission and a full tuition scholarship. Nice!

12-28-07: In at Virginia, via e-mail. Letter to follow.

1-08-08: In at Cardozo, via phone call, with full tuition and $10k stipend. Very cool!

Held at Northwestern today as well, but I was already withdrawing so I don't mind.

1-11-08: Got my envelope from Virginia today. I'm a Dean's Scholar (which means I can hope for at least half-tuition scholarship)! Nice.

Also held at Penn, which is a bit upsetting, but coming on the heels of the Virginia packet it stings a little less.

1-12-08: Held at Notre Dame. That's a little crappy of them. I probably would have only chosen ND for a full scholarship, so I guess I shouldn't be too upset. I will be withdrawing from ND on Monday.

1-16-08: Finally got my acceptance package from Vanderbilt. The status checker said it was mailed on the 9th, but I didn't get it until today. I got the Priority Mail package--no sign of the smaller envelope yet. The package is very nice, by the way. Nicely done, Vandy!

1-22-08: In at Michigan State. King's Scholar with full tuition scholarship, renewable with 3.0 GPA (King renewable with 3.5).

Status changed to "Decision" on the GULC website.

1-28-08: In at GULC, via snail-mail. Nice hand-written note on the letter.

2-02-08: Letter from Wayne State, offering Dean's Scholarship (full tuition for three years). Very cool.

2-06-08: Got the deferral e-mail from Harvard today. Not surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.

2-14-08: Held at Columbia today. On a bit of a bad streak.

3-1-08: Letter from Vanderbilt, offering $25,000 per year (Chancellor's Law Scholarship).

3-17-08: In at USC via snail mail today. My first positive admissions news in quite a while.

3-23-08: Busy day. $54,000 from Duke, and that's the extent of the good news.

Waitlisted at Chicago, rejected at Boalt (after being held), and rejected at Cornell (applied late).

3-24-08: Withdrawing from everywhere, and sending my seat deposit to Michigan. It was pretty much always going to be this way, but it was fun to explore options, and the Virginia money helped me get more from Michigan.

4-18-08: Waitlisted at NYU (stuck around to see what would happen).

4-21-08: Withdrew from NYU

4-25-08: Waitlisted at Harvard. Thrilled to have been even considered, but I don't think I'll be hanging around.
