2/3/10 - Application is complete at University of Tennessee and I'm under review.

2/9/10 - Application is complete at Georgia State and Mercer.

2/10/10 - Application is complete at University of Georgia. This is a big deal since UGA is my number one choice. I know getting accepted is long shot so I'm not holding my breath. It doesn't hurt to try though, especially since I had a fee waiver.

2/12/10 - Application is complete at Florida State and University of Florida.

2/16/10 - I open my mailbox and to my surprise find an acceptance letter from Georgia State!! I wasn't expecting it since the status checker hadn't updated to say I was accepted. This was a HUGE relief because Georgia State is my top choice after UGA and Alabama, so this decision made some of the other schools not matter so much. It's exciting to know I have somewhere to go that isn't a backup.

2/19/10 - Application is complete at University of South Carolina.

2/22/10 - I finally get my status checker from Alabama, but I'm still not considered complete! Alabama is my second choice, but like UGA, I'm not holding my breath since it's a long shot.

2/22/10 - Accepted at Mercer via online status checker! Not that exciting since I prefer Georgia State over Mercer.

3/2/10 - University of Florida status checker changed to "Reviewed by committee; decision pending." I did some research and apparently this means they have looked at my application, but haven't made a decision yet. I guess that means they will come back to it later? This could be a good or bad thing, but regardless I'm not too worried about it since I have other options and I was never really too enthusiastic about Florida to begin with.

3/2/10 - Accepted to University of South Carolina via mail. This makes me 3/3 so far, but I still haven't heard from the schools that matter most to me.

3/3/10 - Rejected from UGA via status checker. I knew it was inevitable, but it still hurts a lot because I really wanted to go there! Oh well, I have other good options so not all is lost!

3/4/10 - Accepted to University of Tennessee via phone call!!

3/5/10 - Email from UTK saying a scholarship offer is in the mail! I'm curious to see how much it's worth. . .

3/12/10 - Get scholarship offer in the mail from UTK for $5,000 a year. Not enough to make me choose them over GSU.

3/22/10 - After SEVEN weeks my application at Alabama is FINALLY complete!

4/12/10 - Under review at FSU

4/13/10 - Call from FSU telling me I have been accepted. Not exciting given how long it took them to look at my app.

4/13/10 - University of Florida - Decision in transit. So I should know in a few days.

Congrats on UTK and SC! Any idea where you're leaning towards right now?

Hey! Right now I'm leaning towards UTK or Georgia State. I'm a Georgia resident so Georgia State right now is the cheapest for me. I got an email from UTK though saying a scholarship offer is in the mail, so I'm waiting to see how much they offer before I make a final decision. I saw you also got a scholarship from UTK. Is that for all 3 years or the amount for one year?

Georgia State is cool, being in Atlanta would be great. The $$ from UT is per year, which helps. I will probably end up there, but I'm going to visit everywhere first.
