I have decided to apply to Wesleyan. I am not applying to South Texas or St. Mary's because the likelihood of me getting in was low compared to other schools and their tution rate to grant ratio was low.

Did your status checker ever change at SMU (from application complete to in review)?

Did your UDC status go straight to a "Rejection" or did your online status ever change to "Hold" at any point?

ilawyer202, My status went from pending to rejection. I don't recall seeing a "hold". Good luck!
Why not Wesleyan or south Texas or st. Mary's?
