Additional info & updates

4-11-12: Sent in my deposit to NYU. Withdrew from all remaining schools admitted and waitlist. My cycle is over!

4-10-12: $75k at NYU. This locks it in. See you in the village next year.

4-9-12: $0 at BU. Lol, auto-withdrawn.

3-30-12: Rejected at Harvard, not a surprise. I was at NYU for ASD and AnBryce interviews. Looking forward to attending in the fall. I should hear back on the AnBryce this week and I'll start withdrawing from schools after that. Feels good to be basically done.

3-14-12: Waitlisted at Chi. Expecting news from Harvard and finally making a decsion. Overwhelmingly leaning in favor of NYU.

3-9-12: Chi UR number 3 today. Decisions impending next week?

3-4-12: No major updates since BC. Just forgot to mention that I had my second Chi under review on 2/24. Expecting third UR/decision this week or next.

2-27-12: In at BC.

2-24-12: WLed at Michigan. I have no idea what the admissions office was thinking on this one. Numbers stronger than many candidates, Why Michigan essay, and I even EDed. I don't know how I could show more interest or aptitude. Definitely disappointed and a little angry.

2-22-12: AnBryce invite at NYU. Heading to NY for the interview March 28-30. I can hardly believe it!

2-15-12: Under Review at Chicago I

2-9-12: Reserve at Columbia. Pretty disappointing.

1-31-12: In at BU via phone call.

1-28-12: Withdrew from Boulder.

1-27-12: Complete at Chicago.

1-25-12: In at NYU! Just went under review at Harvard, too.

1-16-12: Complete at Columbia.

1-13-12: Under Review at NYU.

1-11-12: Status Checker from NYU received.

1-10-12: Status Checker from Chicago received.

1-5/6-12: Status checkers from Columbia and Harvard received.

1-5-12: Submitted apps to CCN H Updated LSP at the bottom.

1-4-12: Pulled a 177 on the December 2011 LSAT (Ecstatic!)

12-24-11: Snail mail acceptance from UC Boulder received on Christmas Eve. Happy Holidays!

12-21-11: Decision Rendered at UC Boulder.

12-9-11: Mich rolled my ED to RD. Hopefully my December LSAT pushes me into an accept. I want A2 next fall!

11-18-11: Status Checker from U of M received. App is complete. Now for anxious ASW checking.

11-18-11: Received W&M packet with scholly info, $10,000 out of state fee waived, $4,000 stipend and $6,000 off tuition for a total of $20,000.

11-16-11: In at W&M via status checker at 9am this morning. First acceptance and I couldn't be happier to get it.

11-14-11: E-mailed Mich to find out my app status as I hadn't received a checker yet (not that I was expecting one this quickly) and wanted to make sure that my ED app would meet the Nov. 15 complete deadline. Was pleasantly told that my app had gone complete on 11/8 and is currently under review. Good news! Here's hoping for better news soon. And, if I don't make it through ED I plan to destroy the LSAT in my December Threetake and hope that the new score makes the decision a little easier in RD.

Mich is my reach school

BU/BC are my targets

UC Boulder is a school in an awesome location where I would not at all mind to work.

Beyond that, I'm probably just like many applicants here: male, middle class, white, work experience, OK stats.

Here's hoping for a great cycle!

Is your WM scholarship per year?

Thursday, October 27 2011 at 08:00 PM

It is. All of those will renew through the 3 year process so $60,000 total (but it's really pretty marginal considering the $10,000 OOS waiver, the stipend and the $6000x3 scholarship). Still, WM has some seriously low tuition rates and depending on how my other apps shake out could be a serious contender. I'm also retaking in December and that might be a game changer if things go to planned.

Congrats!

Congrats on the LSAT score! Hoping to see a similar increase for myself in February...Anon said it--probably a good thing you didn't get Mich ED. Everything happens for a reason

Creeped on your photos in the TLS waiting thread and now I'm creeping on your LSN. I'm 3.41/177 and will be watching your cycle closely, looks like we have similar schools in mind. Good luck!

Thanks! Though your score improvement was far, far more impressive :)
