i\'d be thrilled to get accepted at emory. i definitely would love to be in that general region. (some scholarship money from them would seal the deal for me)

about oregon...
Thursday, January 31 2008 at 07:00 PM

i would pick Lewis & Clark over Oregon, simply b/c of the Portland factor. Portland is an incredible city of about 2 million people, and their enviro law program is the best in the country...definitely better than UofO\'s. don\'t get me wrong, eugene is beautiful, and i really like oregon, plus UofO has a new law building that\'s really nice, so those things might influence you their way, but for my money, i\'d take L&C.

maybe you don\'t want to post your full resume/stats... it\'s not unheard of for adcomms to peruse these sites.

re: tip

adcomms have been known to do funny things when they see where else you\'re applying, where you\'ve been accepted, etc. I\'m paranoid, but at least I\'m mostly unidentifiable. *shrug*

\"diary\"
Sunday, July 20 2008 at 08:00 PM

I\'m writing the dates and updates in the additional information panel because I\'m anonymous enough that adcomms won\'t be able to pick me out, and because it might be useful to other users. Like \"Oh! This person got accepted two days ago by mail! Maybe mine is on the way.\" It\'s when you\'re easily identifiable that the updates become problems.

i'm at emory...good luck with your apps!

Monday, August 18 2008 at 08:00 PM

Yea my logic is that a few points couldn't hurt anywhere I apply... New Orleans is a cool city and I wouldn't mind being there for law school. I need to visit a few of these schools before I'd be able to make any definite decision, and of course my LSAT performance next weekend will dictate a lot of what happens from here on out... Good luck!

Friday, October 03 2008 at 08:00 PM

Teaching English abroad is definitely quite the experience, isn't it? Best of luck to you in this cycle!

Hey it's mdd but just on a new name. People I've talked to have got me paranoid about adcomms reading this stuff and I don't really feel like taking chances.. Anyway I feel good about how I did on the October LSAT. Kind of a blur now. We'll see how it turned out in a little over a week now! I'll let you know how it went!

Tuesday, July 22 2008 at 08:00 PM

thanks! Good luck w/ your applications as well! The UM campus is pretty but traffic sucks if you live off campus. Just letting you know.

good luck

nice to see another athlete on here hope you have a good cycle, I'm waiting on a retake

PSU
Wednesday, July 02 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey man, apologies for the super duper late reply. PSU's probably gonna be climbing in the rankings in the next few years because the higher-ups are pouring TONS of money into both campuses. The law school doesn't appear to be the red-headed stepchild of the PSU system. Although I'm just applying there for a safety. If I spend another three years in this town, I'm going to lose my mind, seeing as I've been here for almost a decade.

Sunday, July 20 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey I'm applying to OSU early decision too and we have pretty similar numbers. Have you heard if they're much more lenient on ED acceptance?

Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

hey thanks man. did they mention any scholarship money? How seriously are you considering attending?

Thanks!
Sunday, October 05 2008 at 08:00 PM

American was quicker than I expected. Unfortunately, I just got rejected from Notre Dame. Not too surprised though, oh well. Good luck!

Miami
Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

Got my first acceptance and i cant become a green dot b/c you are blocking me! thanks

Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

no its ok, im just messing. you deserve it since you got your app out sooner. so is your friend making you consider miami more closely?

Congrats
Wednesday, October 08 2008 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptances. What school is you top pick?

Wednesday, October 08 2008 at 08:00 PM

Yes, it is Chicago or nothing for me because of my family situation. But Chicago is a great city, so I will do fine. But I wish you the best on Ohio, but I know you will pick the right school that gives you the right feeling (and money):-).

Wednesday, October 08 2008 at 08:00 PM

I sure you will get in at Ohio. Look at me with a 145 and I am hopeful but also realistic (I am confident that I may have a shot at one of the schools I applied to). I believe Ohio is in the bag for you. Do you mind me asking you your Race?

congrats
Tuesday, September 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

on DePaul and Miami! We're fairly similar in numbers and school choices, I hop I have some good results too!

Pitt
Tuesday, September 02 2008 at 08:00 PM

For Pitt, was it a letter or an email notification

Congrats
Friday, October 03 2008 at 08:00 PM

..on DePaul! I got in, too! :) *high-five*

Congrats
Thursday, October 16 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey man, congrats on depaul and miami. I was accepted at miami and im still waiting on depaul. Good luck the rest of this cycle.

Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

hey good luck on OSU!

OSU
Tuesday, September 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey, good luck with OSU... don't feel too bad about your #s compared with LSN, as I know a fair number of people who are currently there and had lower numbers...

Pitt Scholly
Thursday, March 27 2008 at 08:00 PM

congrats on your acceptances so far. we have pretty similiar numbers and some common schools. Im still waiting to haer from OSU too as its one of my tops. when pitt accepted you did they include scholarship info in the letter. i think they just arent offering me anything, but i wanted to make sure..

OSU
Tuesday, September 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

well... not totally non-traditional, one was 2 years out of school. But I will say that there is a fair chance that family/communtiy connections could have helped some. I have almost identical numbers and am two years out of undergrad, and everyone keeps telling me I shouldn't worry too much. I will worry anyway, but since EVERYONE keeps saying it to me (I live in Columbus, so plenty of folks have knowledge of OSU), the hopeful part of my brian is willing to listen. Good Luck, I'm putting in my 2 cents that at absolute worst you are waitlisted.

question on pitt scholly
Sunday, November 30 2008 at 07:00 PM

how did they notify you?

Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

uh oh what did you hear about adcomms? heard anything from Ohio St.?

Tuesday, September 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on Quinnipiac! So you haven't heard form OSU yet? hmm... that's odd. I hope you hear good news soon!

OSU
Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey man im sorry to hear that. Keep ur head up though. you've gotten into some good schools, and im sure you'll get into more.

Thursday, March 27 2008 at 08:00 PM

Not too upset about it really. A little surprised though.... In the long run i think it works out better that i was rejected. Probably would have gone someplace else regardless and now i dont have to second guess my decision. Think I am leaning toward one of the chicago schools.

Tuesday, September 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

:( that's no fun. Well, you still have offers from some good schools, and a lot still outstanding. Hope you get some better news soon!

Wednesday, July 02 2008 at 08:00 PM

Sorry to hear about OSU, man. Which ones are you looking at now?

Sunday, March 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

I'm really hoping to get into Pitt... I love the city, the school is great, and could absolutely see myself living there after I graduate. I just want them to make their decision faster!

Wednesday, July 02 2008 at 08:00 PM

Pretty much the same thing for me. As of right now, I'm looking pretty hard at Pitt and DePaul, but I've still got a ton of schools to hear from.

Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey hows it going. Made any decisions towards where you'll be next fall?

Wednesday, May 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

Yea Pitts a nice city to live in. And of course Univ of Pitt would be the best school to go to have a career in Pittsburgh. Congrats on the Steelers winning the super bowl, man they are tough. I just got waitlisted at Wake, have you heard from them yet?

Pitt, PSU or Temple
Saturday, August 23 2008 at 08:00 PM

Imagining you got into all three. Which would you go to and why? I am deciding between Pitt and Temple at the moment. I refuse to apply to PSU, b/c it annoys me that there is no instate tuition.

choices
Tuesday, September 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey! Congrats on 7 acceptances! It looks like your narrowing down your choices. I just did the same thing and feel really good about it. Good luck with your last 3... I withdrew from Temple's waitlist so hopefully that will help you out :)

Wednesday, August 27 2008 at 08:00 PM

Yes, I will be attending Pitt in the fall. I'm very excited! I'd be even more excited with scholarship money ... but I was just so happy to get off my deferral! And I'm excited to get out of Florida.

Wednesday, July 02 2008 at 08:00 PM

Sure am! I leased an apartment and everything. PSU was a little tempting, and I'm sure they'll be steady risers in the rankings, but I really felt like Pitt had a better rep. Nova and Miami were way too expensive. As for Pitt's rankings, they'll totally be back in the 50s next year. That "Law and Entrepreneurship" program sounds really intriguing.
