I was pretty suprised with the American decision, but you're right, Tulane and Case are both better schools for my career goals.

Are the scholarship figures you posted for Tulane and Case for each year, or total? By the way, congrats on those acceptances!

The scholarships are the total amounts awarded.

how do you feel about the emory waitlist? surprised or expected? will you keep your name on the waitlist??

I am not sure what to think about tulane - admissions staff seems to say that the school has not been affected very much by katrina. They are "strategically augmenting" their current programs and aiming for a smaller class size from 315 normally to 275 this year. Lookin at law school numbers, it seems to suggest that the school is accepting a lot more - but then again that does not matter so much - do you think students are less likely to choose tulane that they would have in the past??

Congratulations on all your acceptances! With all your choices, have you ruled out Florida? If so, if you would consider letting them know by withdrawing, I would be very grateful! My fianc is on the waitlist there and it is his first choice.

Tulane strengths

1. mild winter 2. urban location, but is next to a beautiful park where you can go for a jog or ride your bike 3. students originate from and get jobs all over the US... FL, NY, CA, etc. You aren't tied down to one state/city. 4. has a top-50 b-school, allowing you to pursue a JD/MBA 5. is an interesting and unique place to spend 3-4 years the major weakness is that it's not top-10, if i got into a top-10 school, i'd probably go there over Tulane i was thinking about U.SoCal too, but withdrew... the neighborhood was not as nice as Uptown New Orleans... and LA is a long flight from my family on the east coast good luck!

so you said you visited tulane..what are your thoughts about the school? did you get the feel that things are back to normal and they are continuing to improve their programs? How was the area around the school affected? Any info would helop.

hey what do you think - tulane vs. brooklyn? also how do you feel about the Wash waitlisy - it seems to me that everyone has been waitlisted - is that the school'stratagy or something - to not reject but waitlist to see who shows their interest?

hi

well i would ideally like to work in international law.yet work in a private firm in nyc in the immediate future..i still think tulane is better than brooklyn though - i had never even heard of brooklyn until i started applying... but i also got WL at american and cardozo - what do you think about american or cardozo - have you seen the campus? also have any teachers left tulane?

congrats!

congrats on your Tulane decision... good luck with the housing... i'm looking myself... perhaps hrl.tulane.edu will help

hi

your comment was very helpful..now i am leaning towards brooklyn..i read the admitted student website for tulane and found out that several faculty members have left or are "visiting" another school..i just think that it is not the place for me right now... the question remains whether i should go to american (based on my long term interest in public international law) or brooklyn (given the fact that i want to practice in nyc after school and brooklyn seems to have good connections)..any opinion?? where are you leaning???
