Scholarships are annual.

Not sure what happened with Wake Forest. I submitted the application in October and didn't hear a thing from them until February. I e-mailed them in Feb to make sure they had received my application, etc...and immediately received a "your application is complete" e-mail, and then a week later received my acceptance e-mail. It was sort of hilarious, but I worry that the fact they seem to have misplaced my application for three months might have cost me a shot at some scholarships...

Applied Early Decision to George Washington, hoping for the free $150k scholarship, but got rolled into regular admission, then I got waitlisted. I didn't plan to attend without a significant scholarship anyway, as I didn't want to spend 48k a year on tuition and another 30k/year to live in DC.
