Additional info & updates

Scholarships are 3 year totals.

11/30 - Application under review at PSU.

12/5 - Full Scholarship to Villanova! Super quick response. Must maintain a 2.0. Definitely moved up on my list.

12/14 - In at Miami, scholarship offers mailed ~3 weeks later.

1/12 - Application under review at Pitt. Also, received e-mail that the scholarship offer from Miami will be arriving in a few days via snail mail.

1/13 - Just got into Temple via status checker. Initially my first choice, but have to wait for the scholarship info.

1/17 - $25,000/year from Miami provided I maintain a 3.2 (~ top third of the class).

1/18 - A bit disapppointed at the scholarship from Temple ($3,750/yr - top half of the class). Even with Temple's already low cost, tuition will be too high.

1/19 - Asked to write a "Why MSU?" essay.

1/23 - Application under review at Illinois, fingers crossed!

1/25 - Accepted at Penn State (my alma mater)! Admissions package will be sent within a month.

1/27 - Accepted at Pitt.

2/6 - Application on Hold at Illinois.

3/16 - Waitlisted at Boston University.

6/28 - Penn State called and offered a full scholarship.

I got the MSU essay too, do you think your going to write it or just withdraw? I got the same scholly to Nova, so it seems pointless. Thoughts?

I just withdrew my MSU application this morning. I applied there because they mentioned a full schollarship, but I'm looking to stay in the northeast. Plus, the offer from Villanova is almost too good to be true! Good luck!

Hey looks like we have similar stats. Good luck with BU and UIUC! Just curious, what GPA requirement did PSU offer with their scholarship? Mine was a 3.0, which was a little disappointing.

Thanks! Yeah, the GPA requirement was a 3.0 as well. I think that is standard for most schools (except Villanova). Have you made any decisions? Best of Luck!
