Additional info & updates

Upward trend in GPA (was pretty low due to first try at college, long time ago)

Partial scholarship to Willamette...Oregon is looking better and better.

01/31 - Got financial aid info from Seattle today, although I have no clue if I have been accepted....

02/03 - It's been a week since I've gotten any mail. I just want the letters, for better or for worse, so I can make a decision about where to live for the next 3 years (or maybe longer???)

02/07 - In at Penn State! Yeah! (large envelope, snail mail) Now I am starting to get some choices to decide between.

02/10 - Got scholarship offer from Albany, not sure that will steer me in their direction, though.

02/17 - Nothing this week...I am wondering what happened with UofP. It may factor into my decision, if I ever get a decision from them.

2/21 - Acceptance (large envelope) from Seattle U. Surprised by that one...now even more choices, only I can't afford to visit every school I want to.

3/5 - Took a tour of Willamette this week. Any ?? about it, let me know! Beautiful campus, by the way!

3/8 - Got a letter from SU today. Contained info about Seattle, including a map. That was nice of them, I thought.

3/15 - SUNY sent me a waitlist letter. At least now I can delete someone from the possibility list.

3/21 - Called Gonzaga today to find out status of app. They said it was never completed (no resume) and that they sent an email. I never got this e-mail...Kind of upset, cause it took 1 minute to send the resume and now I have to wait even longer when all I want to do is have all the information to make a decision!

3/22 - Right now it is down to Willamette and Seattle. But that could change if UofP ever sends a decision. Any others heading to Seattle? I'll be visiting Apr 7.

3/31 - Hoo...Humm....Waiting, waiting. If UofP does not decide soon, money will be heading elsewhere.
BTW, sent withdrawal to Vermont Wednesday. It's too cold there anyways! Will probably send withdrawal to Penn State soon, as well.

Acceptance today to Gonzaga, but only $6,500 scholarship! Not enough to convince me!

04/10 - Two more acceptances today, one from Un of Oregon! And just when I thought I was close to a decision!!!

04/14 - Sent deposit to Willamette yesterday. Still awaiting financial aid package from UO to make final decision, but at least I know I am going somewhere! Definitely Oregon, just gotta decide between the two!

PS Really liked Seattle U but it is too expensive to live there! Too bad I don't have a rich uncle.

04/25 - Returned from vacation to find a waitlist letter from McGeorge. Six months of waiting, just to be told to wait again?! Think I'll go to Oregon!

05/31 - Making the plans to head to Eugene! For all you other future Ducks, see you there!

06/27 - So today I am in the moving process. Will be finishing packing soon and on my way. I suddenly feel as if I am taking a huge leap with my eyes closed!

I love Oregon, if you like some rain, it's really beauitful. I'm bummed I have to move for Law School, the northwest is really something fantastic. You have some nice school choices - Willamette is a great campus.

Did you get a campus assignment? Did you ask for UP?

I asked for Carlisle, actually. Not sure I want to be the guinea pig at UP. What about you?

UAA?

Hey! Are you at UAA, too? If so, I simply must insist that you make yourself known to me, because that means we're in the same department!

on all of your acceptances so far! the mcgeorge application deadline is in may i believe ...which may be why they are sitting for so long on so many applications. your chances there are great- especially with your lsat score. my dad went there and has had a sucessful career...so i'm crossing my fingers that i'll see you there in the fall.

Willamette questions

Hi, Am curious to know your impressions of the place - I plan to visit there soon. Also, I noticed our numbers are pretty close - when they admitted you, was the partial scholarship offered right there with the admission? I got accepted, but no reference to a a scholarship, so kinda dissapointed. :-( Thanks!

Thanks, I am really disappointed about the scholarship thing. I am trying to decide between Kansas and Oregon, and even a small scholarship would tip the scale. Let me know if you receive one.

found you!
