Additional info & updates

Admission Packet from Syracuse 2/24

UPDATE 4/1

Withdrew from 4 schools today, planning on withdrawing from Catholic as well.

Final Update 8/4/2014:

I had applied to these schools before I realized the importance of ranking, job employment numbers, and other prestige factors. In hindsight I should have carpet bombed 10 schools around GW's ranking with applications. That being said my decision process centered around choosing between GW and Syracuse. Although GW is a much better school, my cost for my entire stay at Syracuse would have been $0 dollars due to full tuition, fees covered through negotiation ( Future Applicants: Don't let Admissions bullshit you, they can move heaven and earth if they want you) and housing with family. I also have two guaranteed full time lawyer positions ( not in the fields I wanted to practice nor salary range I wanted). I am taking a gamble on GW with the price but I have many safety nets. The main lesson to take away from my example is DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! Find a range of schools you can get into and then play the negotiation game until you get to the best school for a reasonable price.

Good Luck Friends!
