Extra Curricular Information

It pretty much is what it is. Actually had academic honors a few times but i was kinda all in or all out...one year I'm honors next year you wonder if I dropped out completely..hence the gpa. A miracle I got it even to where it is. No real extracurriculars..I wanna go into public interest so I volunteered for a non-profit. Member of national society of collegiate scholars.

Additional info & updates

Studied ass off and bombed LSAT first time (139)..took it about month later and got 157. Trying schools that consider the highest score. Touro offered money but I don't want to go to long island and get stuck there..even for a t4 touro has horrible rep. Got into valpo last year but didn't offer $ so doubt they will this year. Paid tuition deposit at ggu last year and planned to go pretty much just bc I'm from the bay area so had fam i could stay with. Ended up not going due to personal issues but now I learned that they're like required to fail 30 percent of first year students? Too big a risk esp considering the bay area competition..dont see why anybody would go there. I'm hoping on loyola even though it's late. Any opinions on it? Think I have a shot at a t3?

Got into Loyola..no word on $ yet.
6/09/11
Got into ggu

6/15/11
Looks like only possible option financially is ggu. Just like last year I dont know if its gonna happen. Tuition is pretty much covered but finding a place to live and job in the Bay is tough..I know bc I lived there for 18 years

No I never considered Loyola. LSU is the only place in Louisiana that I would ever consider.

IDK, i wasn't too thrilled about Louisiana or the south in general, but I heard Loyola has a ok rep in New Orleans specifically. Maybe not the rest of the state but I wouldnt want to work anywhere else in LA. Im not interested in biglaw just public interest so I thought NOLA might be good for that.

Thanks for the kind words. Im def writing a gpa addendum. Im looking to start my own firm out the gate so rankings aint a motivation for me. Ole Miss is one of my top choices since I got family there. So you going to New Orleans??

My academic career sounds a lot like yours. STCL is pretty decent. If I got in, you most likely did too.
