12-29-06: I've been applying to schools like crazy, 13 applications out in the past three days with more to come. looks like the grand total will be 19 or 20.

edit: just waiting on letters of recommendation to come in and added some more schools. Looks like I'm going to have some interesting looking applications, mostly rejections I'm sure, but I'd rather get a bunch of rejections than wish I applied somewhere.

12-30-06: 2 of my 4 letters of recommendation are off to LSAC, just waiting on the other 2 to get to me then I can sit back and wait for my rejections.

01-06-07: 1st letter in, waiting on the others to complete, after applying to more schools and being pretty much finished i thought i should make new predictions

02-10-07: First acceptance! Cal Western School of Law in a small cream envelope.

02-17-07: First rejection of many to come. Lewis and Clark in a small white envelope.

02-20-07: Went to Minority Law Day at SCU this past weekend. I really enjoyed the tour (excellent food). My realistic choices seem to be narrowing down to 4 schools which I've been paying closest attention to. These are: UNM, Denver, UoP, and Seattle. From what I gather based on others who applied around the same time as me I should hear a decision back pretty soon from UoP and Denver, Guess we'll see how right I am in this week's mail. Also, I'm going to move my predictions to the left in order to make more room.

02-27-07: Seattle status checker changed from File Complete to Decision Mailed. Since it updates every Tuesday it could come as early as today. This is probably the furthest reach school out of the 4 I mentioned above (SU, DU, UoP, UNM).

03-08-07: Accepted at Thomas Jefferson with 14,000/yr scholarship. Unlikely I'll go but neat anyway

04-12-07: Rejected from Loyola despite not realizing I even finished their application. Thought they required 3 letters and I sent them 2,

04-13-07: Rejected from Pepperdine and waitlisted at Southwestern.

04-23-07: Accepted off the waitlist from Gonzaga! Received a call at around 5pm and offered a spot with a $6k/yr scholarship. Very happy about this!

04-27-07: Rejected from USD and waitlisted at UNLV. Pretty excited I was waitlisted rather than just flat out rejected. I'd go there over Gonzaga.

05-02-07: Called SCU, UOP and DU to check up on my applications. UOP mailed out the decision Mon or Tues, SCU said I should expect a decision in about 2 weeks and DU said within about a week.

05-05-07: Waitlisted at Chapman. Not really interested so I'll probably withdraw my application.

05-07-07: Called UOP and they were able to tell me my decision over the phone which was a waitlist. Gives me one more waitlist to hope to get off of.

05-25-07: After a long time of nothing I called U of Denver and SCU to check on my application status. SCU said they mailed my decision and I should receive it soon and U of D offered me a position in their evening program! I accepted and I will now go there over Gonzaga.

05-26-07: Waitlisted at SCU. Better than a rejection I guess.

05-30-07: Golden Gate changed my scholarship from $20k to $30k and pushed my deposit due date back. Still not interested though.

06-28-07: I visited the SCU admissions office and was told that both day and evening division are full with no realistic expectations of any spots being opened up. She said that the waitlist will be open until Aug 17th and although they don't rank their applicants, she explained that when a spot opens up it is LSAT score priority with a review of competing applications. Given this, I'm pretty certain I'll be attending DU.
