Due to some professors that continually put off writing my recommendations, my applications went out very late.

2-21-08 Received an email from GW addressed to admitted students, inviting me to register at the admitted students website. I registered successfully and took this tentatively as proof that I've been accepted.

2-23-08 A "Dear Admitted Student" postcard from GW arrives, but still no official acceptance letter.

2-25-08 Received a large envelope in the mail from GW with a lot of information in it as well as an acceptance letter. Letter included a handwritten note at the bottom written by the dean of admissions, mentioning my PS.

3-3-08 Received an email from Duke letting my know I've been put on the waitlist.

3-8-08 Received a very large box from Vanderbilt containing an acceptance letter! Lots of other materials in the box as well.

3-14-08 Waitlist letter from Georgetown in a regular white envelope.

3-18-08 Received a scholarship from Vanderbilt for $25,000/year, renewable as long as I remain in good standing with the university. I'm definitely going to try and get GW to match this offer.

3-24-08 Received an email from Notre Dame letting me know I'd been accepted with a scholarship of $16,000/year.

good luck this cycle. either you haven't applied yet or you just haven't updated your lsn. make sure to apply if you havent already--- the early acceptances feel GREAT and you will get into some good schools.

Congratulations on GW!!! How did they contact you when you were complete? (Email, letter, etc.) We applied at the same time and I haven't heard anything from them yet.
