3/2/09 - Received results from my first LSAT. 155. Pretty disappointed since I was shooting for 160. I think with a prep course I could do better, but I just turned 28 and don't want to put off school until 2010. LMU, Pepperdine, and USD are a HUGE stretch. I can forget about Hastings and UCLA. I just wish I wouldn't have wasted those App fees.

3/8/09 - Checked updates on Loyola, Santa Clara, and USD. It says they haven't received all my material!!! What gives... Lsat scores came out two weeks ago! I guess I won't know on any of these schools till April. I'm expecting the worst.

3/10/09 - I was literally about to apply to UOP when I get an email offering me a fee waiver. Nice. But when I tried to fill out their online app (not through LSAC) I received error messages. I'm gonna call them tomorrow to figure out what the issue is. Don't know if I'd be thrilled to go to school in Sac, but it seems like a decent school.

3/27/09 - Had interview with Southwestern's Dean of the SCALE program. She really sold me on the school and was knowledgeable about the current employment atmosphere of Los Angeles. There are over 1000 SCALE alumni alone and many are at LA firms. I had tons of questions and we talked for nearly an hour.

4/1/09 - Big ol' envelope came today. Accepted at Southwestern for SCALE! I can have a JD in two years! Deposit is due 4/15. This may be perfect for me cause I am 28 and have already been to grad school. No money notification though...

4/9/09 - First rejection letter. Irvine.

5/7/09 - Gone to two Southwestern mixers and I'm sold. Great faculty and the SCALE students are a nice, eclectic mix. Looks like I'm starting school in June!

5/10/09 - Waitlisted at Chapman and UOP. I withdrew from both. I'm sold on Southwestern. Start on June 23rd!

Hey! I sat next to you at lunch during the SW accepted students Saturday program last month. (I am the producer). So happy to hear you are committed. I couldn't make it last night because I am in Chicago...see you in June!

ssw1120 - I remember you! The mixer was just that - a mixer. No new announcements or anything. There were a couple of professors that were real informative about the entertainment law electives. One was telling me about the benefits of the London abroad program, but I still think we should use that time for an externship. Danteshek - Thanks. I've enjoyed reading you dismantle ignorant and often elitist posters on TLS. Maybe I'll catch you on campus.
