Additional info & updates

01/25-Received acceptance from Univ. of Miami. No big surprise, but definitely a good start to my cycle.

03/08-Received acceptance from Texas Tech, but the deposit is due so early that I'm not sure what to do.

03/15-Waitlisted at American! Actually surprised because through a small clerical accident, they never received my strongest LOR. They are one of my top 2 choices, so I'm just happy to still be in the running.

03/28-E-mailed from Baylor. Rejected for the fall semester, but they offered me admission to the spring semester. Not too bad, since it would give me a few more months to pay off some bills.

04/02-Acceptance with $75K scholarship to Golden Gate. I mostly applied for the ego factor, so it's not really up for consideration.

04/11- Accepted at San Francisco, but I saw the new US World and News Report Rankings dropped them from second tier to third, so I've pretty much ruled them out.

04/17- Rejected at George Mason. No surprise, but the app fee was waived, so it was worth giving it a shot.

05/02- Waitlisted at SMU. That hurts. I'm pretty sure the odds of my getting off that waitlist aren't great. Accepted to Texas Wesleyan with a full ride assuming top quarter throughout. It looks like I've got a pretty tough decision ahead of me. Still waiting on Houston and Brooklyn. Either one could settle my dilemma.

05/24- Well, I visited Baylor today. I really liked the campus, but I am going to wait and see if they send a little moolah my way. If not, then I am pretty sure that I will be moving back home to Ft. Worth and attending Texas Wesleyan. There's nothing wrong with getting a free education where you can. Luckily, it also means proximity to my beautiful godson, which is the best gift of all.

07/03- No news from any of my waitlist schools yet. I'm still hanging in there, though. Hoping to get some word from American, SMU or U of H very soon. The time is upon us.
