4/14 - I am going to put down my deposit for Case today.
4/1 - Received letter from Richmond placing me on a priority waitlist. It says they expect many on the list will be offered a place in the class. I was already pretty set on going to Case, and now I don't know if I should stay on the wait list. Agggh!
3/27 - Received e-mail from Santa Clara saying they will try and have a decision by the end of April and that it will either be an acceptance or waitlist. It's been so long, I think I've pretty much lost interest in them at this point.
3/26 - Status checker for OSU changed to decision. Pretty sure it's a ding considering my low numbers and the fact I didn't get any of the extra boxes.
3/18 - As of now, I am leaning towards CWRU, but it's so expensive! I received 20k a year from Campbell through snail mail the other day, and I'll be honest, it's sort of tempting.
2/26 - Received the on hold letter in the mail from OSU saying they will look at my application again in March. I'm surprised they didn't flat out reject me yet.
2/20 - Rejected by Maryland, which isn't a surprise. I anticipate I will be receiving mostly rejections from here on out.
2/13 - Rejected by Lewis & Clark, but I'm not sweating it. I applied because they gave me a fee waiver, and I don't think I would have gone there anyways. I found out Case Western is giving me a renewable scholarship of 5,000/year via e-mail.
2/11 - I just heard from Case Western via e-mail. I am pretty stoked about this one.
1/27 - On hold at Pitt.
1/20- Received acceptance from Pacific McGeorge and an offer to fly me to see the school! it even came with a handwritten note on the letter. I thought that was a nice touch.
1/18- Status for Pacific McGeorge changed to decision rendered, so I'm waiting for that in the mail.
1/14- Finally heard something from a school. Waitlisted at Temple. I'm just glad it's not a rejection! I am definitely submitting my waitlist confirmation form.
12/19- Waitlisted by Catholic. Received small envelope in the mail. Evidently, DC does not like me.
12/15- I was out of town and came home to a rejection from American. I'm disappointed but not surprised. I just realized Widener gave me a full scholarship to cover tuition and student fees.
12/10- Application status for Campbell says "admit." Also, Stetson says "decision mailed" so I'm waiting for that.
12/2- My college professor just sent my LOR. I am glad that I had a number of backups and did not wait for her!
11/30- I just checked my status on the University of Miami website, and it says I'm accepted. (For those of you who are wondering how, I received an e-mail directing me to the University of Miami CaneID identification service site. I logged in using the CaneID provided in the e-mail. When I logged in, it said Congratulations...etc.)
I am applying to a ton of schools and just hoping for the best. I am taking advantage of the fee waivers including the ones to reach schools. Maybe I'll get lucky.
Received the following fee waivers:
10/28- Ave Maria
10/29- Tulsa, Phoenix, Quinnipiac
10/31- Arizona, Villanova, Widener
11/5- Gonzaga, Case Western
11/7- St. John's, Maryland, Ohio State, Charlotte
11/10- Suffolk, Wayne State
11/12- Dayton, Pacific McGeorge
11/14- Penn State (hidden!)
11/17- Pitt
11/18- Regent (3 in a row)
11/25- Lewis & Clark, Charleston, Western New England
12/3- Georgia State, Chicago-Kent
12/6- Depaul
12/16- Utah
2/3 - UNC
American is my first choice, but I know it's a reach.

Hey we have similar numbers, good luck at PSU and the rest of your schools. I visited PSU the Carlisle campus and got to sit in on a class. I was really impressed with the school.

Thanks, good luck to you. How did you like Campbell?
Yeah, i'm from Norfolk and i'd love to stay in the area if I can help it. Keep me posted on how you do.

Thanks for heads up. I hadn't checked it in awhile, but my status is still "file complete."
Congrats for you though!

I'm applying to many of the same schools. How sweet was the Miami acceptance e-mail ...I was completely fooled, thinking it was just a status checker ;)

hey, we have similar numbers and many of the same schools, but you're cooler and got more fee waivers. you also applied earlier than i did, sooo maybe our cycles compared will be a real testament to the value of soft factor and early applications. good luck to you, and i'll be watching!

i would go to wisconsin, u oregon, or lewis and clark, no questions asked. i've also recently become really interested in case western and pittsburgh. santa clara would also be awesome. or catholic. ha, so many choices! but really wisconsin would be my number 1, but i have little to no shot there. i'd also be really excited to get a big scholarship to syracuse--i think i'd be happy there and have family in the area. actually, i can see myself being happy at pretty much all of the schools i applied to. miami is a real contender for me though. plan on attending the admitted student's day in march.
what's your first choice? where can you see yourself ending up?

McGeorge is offering to fly you out to California. ugh, I'd take that trip in a heartbeat... if only for a free flight to the west coast. =) Congrats on all the acceptances and good luck with decision making!
Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at 2:15 pm
yeah, i'm also thinking about going to the march 13th legal scholars day. sometimes i'm not sure that i'd go to pacific, but their admissions packet kind of impressed me. i'd like to give them a chance and check out the school and see if sac-town is a cool place. i'm also definitely going to the miami ASD on march 27th. march is going to be busy!
how serious are you about pacific? are they a top choice?

Hey we applied to a lot of the same schools... I really hope I get into Case... Best of luck... Case doesn't have a status checker, do they?
Thursday, February 19th, 2009 at 8:27 pm
how long did it take you to hear from case?
Monday, March 30th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
if i were you, i'd be set on case, too. i think case and university of oregon are the only schools that can really sway me at this point, but i can't be totally sure until i receive the decisions. i did love pacific, but i'm questioning that love just a little bit. such a huge decision to move across the country and leave all of my east coast contacts and my support system. i'm visiting syracuse on friday, and i think that will help me make my decision. have you visited case? did you like cleveland? how do you feel about santa clara? i'm actually still interested in santa clara...despite a lot of people saying the ASD at pacific was a million times better...
Saturday, April 4th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
Yeah, Case has been a top choice of mine pretty much from the beginning. Case and Rutgers-Newark. Although Pitt is seriously growing on me!
Sunday, April 5th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
pacific extended their seat deposit deadline for me upon my request. but i'm going to withdraw and put down a deposit at syracuse. syracuse really impressed me on friday, and i think it's the best and smartest choice for me.
good luck with the rest of your cycle! i look forward to hearing about your visit to case. if i get into case, i'll probably go check them out, too.

Haven't decided yet. I'm actually flying up to visit both campuses in like 2 weeks. So, I wager I'll make the choice then!
