Extracurricular Information

I have consistent volunteer and committee work from my undergraduate, graduate, and professional years.

I completed my undergraduate education at a very progressive liberal arts college that had written evaluations in lieu of grades. The UG GPA is from my freshman year at a different school ( I don't have an LSDAS GPA).

Since that time, I have completed a master's degree and held various management positions in the non-profit, academic and corporate sectors. I am interested in specializing in government law.

In addition to my professional career, I'm currently working a part-time job to reduce my debt before attending law school.

Additional Information

I received a few fee waivers and I think my current score is suitable to apply to some of the schools listed. We'll see...at the very least, it is nice to get a few applications out of the way. I have to increase my current score for a chance at BU or Fordham, though.

I'm very torn about attending school in the metro NYC area, Boston and DC areas. My heart is in NY, but there are many factors leading toward my partner and I wanting to live in Boston or D.C.

Good luck to all 2009-2010 applicants.

12/9 - Received large packet from Rutgers with scholarship of $8,000 per year, renewable for three years.

12/10 - In at Northeastern. Very nice scholarship offer and co-op stipend. Waitlisted at Fordham - not a surprise.

12/11 - Accepted to Suffolk. Large packet, but not very much content. They didn't mention scholarship information in the acceptance letter.

12/16 - Priority mail package acceptance to American.

12/21 - St. John's sent an acceptance package in a regular envelope. They gave me a very, very nice scholarship offer.

1/04 - Cardozo called to let me know I've been accepted. Received a nicely packaged letter on 1/12 with information on upcoming admitted student days.

1/07 - In at Temple via status checker and received a general acceptance email on 1/08, which states the letter will be mailed on Monday. Go Owls! Out of any city in PA, I really like Philly (plus, they have really good vegan cheesesteaks). In my acceptance packet, I was offered a scholarship of $15,000 over three years.

1/12 - In at Pitt via snail mail. Small envelope with a large gold paperclip. Dean's scholarship, which covers half of the tuition.

1/20 - Waitlisted at BC.

1/29 - Dinged at BU (not a surprise). The letter stated I should consider reapplying as a transfer next year.

2/9 - Email acceptance from Brooklyn. A mailed packet is to be sent in the upcoming days. YES!!!! Like all admitted students, I received a very heavy acceptance package from BLS in the mail. The scholarship information was mailed separately (first week of March) and also posted in BLS's online system.
