Additional info & updates

#s are US News rankings, not mine. Just here to remind myself ;)

$10K yearly at Hofstra, renewable if above a 3.0 GPA

3/28/05: updated with 2006 US News rankings

3/31/05: No mention of $ from Albany.

4/04/05: $8K yearly at IU-Bloomington, renewable if in top half of class

4/08/05: letter from Richmond says they haven't come to a final decision, but that I am qualified and in a small group of people they'd admit before going to the regular waitlist.

4/16/05: Presidential Scholar at Seton Hall: $16K yearly, renewable if GPA above 3.1

4/20/05: Since I have the USNWR #s pretty much memorized at this point, decided to update # rankings based on personal preference.

4/22/05: Albany has agreed to match Seton Hall's $16K offer, so looks like I'll be staying put this fall. Cardozo, Fordham, and George Mason are still in the running IF I get good news from them, though.

4/23/05: Woo-hoo! Found out about the Fordham waitlist through the online status checker. Given my GPA, I'm thrilled. Now the wait begins...

4/29/05: Got the thin envelope from Catholic last night. I'm the highest LSAT rejected this year (actually tied for first place), based on LSN data. Go me!

4/30/05: Priority waitlist at Baltimore (whatever!); invitation to GMU PAST Program. There's no way I can move down to VA for a three week class on the slim chance I might be one of the lucky ones admitted. Oh well.

5/15/05: Now that Cardozo's decision is in, it's all over. Man, do I wish I'd started the application process earlier.

Congrats on Hofstra. Good luck on the rest. FYI, the #s column is for you to tell people how you rank the schools for you, not the US News numbers. We all know those.

I know...

Thanks for stopping by! I know what the #s are supposed to be used for, but it's helpful to me to have the U.S. News #s handy on this page. My real prefs run more like this: 1. Fordham 2. U. of Connecticut 3. Cardozo 4. George Mason 5. Albany (assuming $ is involved) 6. Pittsburgh and so on, with Hofstra placing just above Florida Coastal.
