3/17/09 Denied at Florida Coastal a few days ago, and today I was informed of acceptance into Widener's TAP conditional program. No way I'm relocating the family for a trial run so I'll be declining. This might seem odd, but I've got family here so Barry or A&M would suit me fine. In fact I would prefer to go to Barry or A&M.

3/19/09 On hold at Barry. Bummer but it's not the instant rejection I expected.

3/20/09 Still nothing new. How long can it possibly take to process an application at South Texas? Oh, well. We shall see. Don't think I'll get in but would definitely consider an offer there since I'm from Houston originally and most of my family still lives there.

3/23/09 Rejected at Franklin Pierce. I expected it, but still disappointing as I was intrigued with this school. Sent my LOCI to Barry today.

3/31/09 Still nada -- though a decision has been mailed at Santa Clara. (I'm surprised it took this long to cobble together a rejection.) Now complete everywhere except for Southern.

4/4/09 Well, I've lost most of my hope for law school. Got my expected rejection from Santa Clara today. However, the second envelope was a bit of a surprise. I figured I'd be able to get in at FAMU. Turns out I've been placed on hold. I'm not really sure what to think. By no means are my scores impressive, but I've got good softs, work experience and letters. Plus my scores are still at their median. University of Pacific has mailed what I presume will be a rejection too. Sigh...

4/6/09 Official rejection from University of the Pacific came today.

4/9/09 Denial at Charlotte.

4/13/09 Waitlisted at Phoenix Law. Suppose I will stay on the list though I'm leaning toward remaining in Orlando regardless of the outcome.

4/27/09 Blah. Apparently not headed back to Texas. Rejected from both Houston schools.

4/29/09 Rejected at Barry after two letters of continued interest.

5/4/09 Moved to FAMU's priority wait list. Accepted to a local community college to begin a nursing program.

5/11/09 Rejected at Southern.

It was the PA campus for Widener. (I checked the either campus box.) Because I have children I wouldn't consider a conditional summer program unless it was in Orlando. It's hard enough to uproot kids, but to do it without a guarantee would be crazy. Good luck!

Hi, I'm planning to go to law school back in FL.. and really into Barry.. but was wondering your thoughts on famu.. considering the low tuition there and all.. have you toured there? I toured barry about a month ago and it was quite pleasant.
