Our numbers are very similar, and we are applying to many of the same schools. Best of luck, and keep me posted.

Best of luck this cycle...

Much thanks to scottie, Anna, and Saja for the words of kindness. Apps are in, others are not, best of luck to you all in this zero-sum game.

our numbers are similar but I'm worried about georgetown because of my poor PS...how was yours? what was it (vaguely) concerned with? any indication would ease my anxiety

PS, PS

Numbers like your should relieve any anxiety. Barring an application disaster of epic proportions, G is on lockdown for you. My statement discussed something both obscure and personal, undiscussed elsewhere in my app. A reader described it as "textbook perfect example", another called it "edgy and hip". I am tentatively confident about it.

SLC has much for which to commend it, spiritual and otherwise. The skiing is superb, particularly in the winters.

Preferences are being debated ad infinitum; prob an east coast or mid west thang.

Hold email received there's no status option for "Held", hence "Deferred"

Mormons are taking over Hahhhvard
Thursday, December 21 2006 at 07:00 PM

I got the Harvard call today too, good to see all us Mormons are taking over Harvard. Are you going to the March ASW?

Safado, I will be in attendance in March. Plans to blow up the spot.

Congrats on Harvard! (Very funny about CLS though, guess it doesn't matter anymore...) Also, how and when did you learn about UVa and Penn scholarship $$?

vagaries of fate
Friday, October 21 2005 at 08:00 PM

Saja, Many thanks for your generous words. Fortune should smile on you too! I was very lucky to watch Columbia's decision quickly go from being unfortunate to being completely irrelevant. UVA acceptance and s-ship were in one phone call. The acceptance letter came later; nothing more re: the s-ship. Penn s-ship nomination and award came by email.

Believe the Hype
Friday, October 21 2005 at 08:00 PM

The numbers above are for real. The incentives (real or anxiously assumed) to slightly altering one's LSN numbers are legion and I concede that I fell under that spell. Now with HLS admit in hand, the need for facade/misdirection is gone and hence, above are my for real numbers. Regards.

Mr. Wilson's coin is padding my palm. Submission deadline is the 12th of March, so the early reply was pleasantly unexpected.

asante sana brokenroad! I wrote on topic one-specifically, my interests abroad and some semblance of a cross-disciplinary approach might be quasi-beneficial. Response was via mail within a week of submission.

Congrats on SLS. Did they give you a phone call too or just the email? As you see, I have similar numbers, so you just raised my hopes of getting admitted this late.

FD contacted me via email; in said form of communication she said her had tried to call me without success. It is eminently possible a spot at SLS will open for you...

Hi there - was hoping you could give me some info about Harvard - were you waitlisted before you got called and interviewed...or did you just go from November to February without hearing anything? Thanks much!
