12-10-07: Columbia rejection letter, small white envelope dated 12-07-07

12-13-07: received email from Georgetown asking for an interview. Same day received phone call for interview.

12-14-07: complete at BU, green postcard dated 12-10-07

12-17-07: Georgetown interview. Felt like a recruiting event (real chill).

12-19-07: Georgetown went to decision, and now the waiting game...

12-30-07: Roomate opens my Georgetown letter for me and ... preferred waitlist, what the hell does that mean?

1-08-08: I had my NW interview a couple of weeks ago and I guess my guy just sent in the report. So now i'm complete. great.

1-11-08: Email from upenn. Not a WL, not a rejection. Basically says wait longer. Also tells me I can send them an extra essay, or LOR, updated resume etc. Hooray for not getting rejected, I guess...

1-14-08: Two letters in the mail, UCLA and berkeley. neither good news.

1-16-08: Mailed off letters to Penn and G-town. We'll see if it makes a difference.

1-18-08: Filled out the WL form for UCLA and gave it to the gf to drop off. Hopefully she can flirt me into UCLA law. Not that I actually want to go there, but when your safeties waitlist you, you take what you can get.

1-25-08: Email from NW and i'm in! Email said they liked some stuff from my personal statment. God damn i'm pumped!

1-27-08: In at boston via large packet. They included a letter with some personal comments, wihch was nice. I'll probably withdraw pretty soon.

1-28-08: Waitlisted at ND. Not sure how to feel about that. It's probably because i'm not catholic.

1-31-08: Phone call from UT. Glad I got in, but according to my internal list UT is beat by NW, so i'll probably withdraw.

2-06-08: Rejection letters from stanford and nyu. Sad, but not too terrible I guess. Its looking more and more like i'll be heading to chicago in the fall.

2-08-08: Received email from u mich today saying absolutely nothing. They read my app and decided not to reject me and not to waitlist me (yet). thanks?

2-15-08: rejection email from harvard. classy.

2-20-08: nice letter from u chi basically saying im on hold, they asked for more stuff though and gave me some interesting essay topics. So, I guess i'll start writing.

2-26-08: Received merit scholarship from UT for 20k the first year and 10k for the years after that. Still leaning towards NU though.

3-10-08: went decision at university of michigan (status checker)

3-11-08: WL email from duke. Not that I care, but it felt like I was already waitlisted with how long these schools are taking getting back to me.

3-12-08: Rejection letter from U mich. At least its a solid yes or no.

6-25-08: Phone call from Upenn's dean. Accepted off the waitlist plus a 60k scholarship means im going to penn.

Ya the status check is supposed to work after 4 days but who knows with the holiday, also their offices are closed on weekends so who knows if that counts. I have heard it has taken a week for some people so don't freak if you can't get into it. But i also heard they have been sending letters to permanent addresses around the holidays but I don't know if they will do that for me because I am a student. Good Luck

i wouldn't have expected those decisions of UCLA/Gtown...things are looking rough this year. I'm UCLA as well, bizecon. I'm rooting for you. btw what kind of consulting are you doing?

hey. call me crazy and neurotic, but how are WL at UVA if you wont go to decision for another 2 days? Im just trying to predict what im coming home to tonight or tomorrow. Went to decision last night.
