Additional Information

12/09/09: Accepted at Wash U via email! My iphone pinged right as I got out of the pool. :)

12/10/09: Decision mailed at Vandy

12/14/09: Received Vanderbilt acceptance letter/box

12/14/09: Received Rothman Scholar Application from USC

12/15/09: Checked my email while waiting for a connection at
the Narita airport in Tokyo. In at Minnesota!

12/23/09: Accepted at Tulane! It seems I was under review for only 1 hour before they accepted me...

1/06/10: I wish I were back at school. I know I have tons of stuff in the mail waiting for me... including a rejection/ deferral letter from Columbia and, hopefully, an acceptance letter from USC. In other news, it's been almost two months since I applied to Cornell and I'm still not complete. :(

1/07/10: Complete at Cornell (FINALLY)

1/11/10: Finally caved and checked my voicemail from abroad. I had messages from Minnesota and MSU. Full scholarship! :)

1/12/10: Back at school. Didn't get anything I wasn't expecting. Deferral from Columbia, packets from USC and minnesota and a tote bag from Tulane. Also got "be patient, young jedi" email from university of michigan.

1/14/10: Decision Rendered at GTown. [edit: now expecting bad news.]

1/21/10: Accepted at Texas via phone call! :D Also, no word from Georgetown yet. My status checker changed again to DR 1/21. I'm pretty sure that means I was rejected. I just wish they'd do it already. I'm so fed up with this school.

1/25/10: 11 days after DR at Gtown, finally rejected. Expected, but still stings a bit. Kind of glad gtown was my first rejection though, and not Michigan or anywhere I actually wanted to go. Bitter? No... why would you think that?

1/28/10: Accepted at Cornell via status checker and email.

2/2/10: NYU, Northwestern, Berkeley. Ding, Ding, Ding

2/8/10: I'm so used to being rejected that I can't even remember what it feels like to be accepted anymore...

2/10/10: Rejected at Chicago and waitlisted at UVA.

Hi - where are you from?

Yea, I will withdraw at Vandy as I was accepted to Michigan yesterday as well. Even with a huge scholarship, I would not consider going there. I withdrew from UCLA as well. hykang

When I said, "I would not consider going there", I was talking about Vanderbilt, not Michigan (obviously). hykang
Thanks and Good Luck! Sunday, January 31st, 2010 at 9:10 am
I think, in the end, we will both have very similar cycles. Only difference being that I submitted my apps really early and probably beat out the overflow of apps all the schools are getting right now.

Hang in there and GL! Diskette15
UT scholarship Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at 10:37 pm
When and how did you find out about the UT out of stater scholarship? I was admitted there on the same day and am anxiously waiting to see if they offer that to me. JForrester
Thanks Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at 11:26 am
Thanks. Michigan is my top so far....that UT scholarship would make things interesting though. I see we're basically having the same cycle (I got ED deferred from Columbia as well). Good luck on the rest. Hopefully Ill see you at UM or Columbia. JForrester

I was wondering, how did NYU notify you? I haven't heard anything from NYU...although I applied very early. – WM
