ADDITIONAL INFO & UPDATES

I decided to only apply to L&C... I felt strongly that I'd be able to get a much better LSAT, but don't have the time to re-take for this cycle.

Unfortunately, I work two jobs - anywhere from 40-70 hours per week, and applying meaningfully to law school has proven difficult!

I've decided to only apply to L&C. I truly only 100% wanted to go here - I live in Portland, and completely identify with the school. Depending on my performance this year, I may apply to transfer out. Or not - I'll be happy staying here.

In response to your query about L&C and why they rejected me...I think I made it somewhat clear (not explicitly, but reading between the lines) that L&C wasn't really my top choice. They probably got that sense, and that -- combined with my low UG GPA -- was enough for them to say no.

In what field of law are you interested? I see that we both have LC and UO on our lists (and perhaps more notably, not Willamette). We may also have similar stats (I don't take the LSAT until next week and haven't submitted transcripts for the official verdict). Best wishes.

  • How odd...

I haven't logged in for ages and I just posted an update, basically postponing law school. Then I saw your recent comment and came over for a look. What is odd is that I'm thinking about only applying to LC (part time) next year. Best wishes to you! And - who knows - maybe we'll cross paths sometime down the road...
