Additional info & updates

Didn't study for the LSAT first time around. Spent a decent amount of time studying for the June LSAT and got a 10 point increase. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but I will take it.

Masters Degree

UDC offered a full tuition waiver for their program. I went to an open house a month or so ago and I wasn't impressed. I'm waiting on CUA's offer, hopefully they give some money. Honestly, I was shocked to be wait listed at American. I hoped to get in (or rejected), but not wait listed. I'd chose American over Catholic, but we will see.

I'm interested to hear why didn't you study for the LSAT and why do you think it's a good idea?

I just showed up for the Feb test, which was not a good idea. I was joking about it being a great idea (my 144 wasn't my best performance). I took the June LSAT and briefly went through the PowerScore books and got a 10 point increase to 154, which is decent. I'm applying to better part-time programs in the DC area, some of which are long shots (George Washington and George Mason).

Congrats!

Congrats on your acceptances! :) I am having trouble with the LSAT... i got a 139 but then again I only prepped for 4 weeks. I did blueprint online. What methods/books/programs do you recommend? I am planning to study for 6 months if I do not get accepted to law school (chances are I won't get accepted, but I still wanted to try). :) good luck with law school.

I used the PowerScore Bibles (3 book set) and the 10 LSAT practice tests. Honestly, I slowly went through the books, making flash cards and summaries along the way. I didn't take many practice tests, but worked on timing for individual questions. I got the books off of Amazon around $100. As long as you stick with it I am sure that you can get a 10 point or higher increase. Good luck!
