State of Residence?

Are you from Texas? You can e-mail me and/or edit this if you're trying to be somewhat anonymous about it. Our numbers are very close and I was also a philosophy and history major, so I'm just curious since I'm still waiting on Boalt, UVA, and Texas too. I'm not a Texas resident. Congrats on your acceptances so far and good luck!

Never mind!

I got in the day I wrote the above message. Good luck.

I'm definitely leaning towards Texas if I don't get into Boalt, Cornell, or UVA (which is EXTREMELY likely at this point). My safeties weren't as generous with scholarships as I would have liked, and Austin sounds pretty sweet. I was really happy and surprised to get into UT. I'm going to the admitted students weekend so maybe I'll see you there! Good luck with your remaining schools.

Congratulations on making a decision! Not being sarcastic. Must feel nice to know where you're headed and start looking for a place to live. Did you go to the Admit Day? I really liked it, especially the last part with the three professors. I think Iowa plus the scholarship is probably my number one right now after thinking about it quite a bit. It's a pretty sweet deal to graduate with so little debt, although I have no idea where I ultimately want to practice, which is the part that kind of scares me. Did they give you any information on how successful the Merit Fellows are at maintaining the top 25% requirement? Anyway, maybe I'll see you there.
