Hey guys, thanks for all the support! NUhopeful, I think the main factor in my NU acceptance was my work experience (worked for two top national firms) and my personal statement. I sent my app on 12/20, however it was not complete until mid-january. Hope this helps!

Good luck with your applications. Yes, I think work experience played a huge part in my acceptances, particularly for Northwestern. I also know my personal statement was a deciding factor in my acceptance to UMichigan. I wrote about who I admired the most, and how that has helped me develop into the person I am today. Good luck again!

Thanks

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your kind words! I finally decided to attend Northwestern... As for kdfm, I know my personal statement was a huge factor for UMich because the Dean of the school called to inform me that I had one of the most exceptionally well-written personal statements they have ever read. And as for my work experience, I worked at the #1 law firm in the nation as an intern in UG (cravath-new york office), then the #1 law firm in Washington DC as paralegal for a year. While I may be a minority, I have done plenty to deserve my acceptances.
