Berkeley: need aid of ~$10K. The $13K and the $10K applied in full for 1L year. (All other amounts listed for other schools are totals for all 3 years).

Columbia: deferred in February. I sent in a LOCI shortly after receiving that letter.

Penn: deferred in early Feb. I sent in a "Why Penn?" essay and was accepted shortly thereafter. Received need grants of $45K.

Yale: deferred in mid-Feb. promising either acceptance or waitlist. 04-09 waitlisted. Stayed on till July
