Additional Information
Fee Waivers:
All T-14 other than HYSB (they never give merit fee waivers), UPenn and NYU. Not intending on applying to Cornell, UVA or GULC. Also received fee waivers from UCLA, Texas and Vandy.
Updates:
10/21/08 - Applied to Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Berkeley. Intend to apply to NYU and Duke tomorrow.
10/22/08 - Applied to NYU.
Emailed Georgetown, Chicago and Michigan for fee waivers. Flatly denied at Chicago. This drastically lowers the chance that I'll apply to Chicago this time around.
Received emails from Harvard and Columbia stating that my application had been received.
10/25/08 - Applied to Duke. Didn't submit optional Why Duke essay.
Received a nice email from Michigan stating they would waive my app fee. Same with GULC.
10/27/08 - Fee waiver for NW. I will probably wait on submitting Michigan and NU applications so I can write the optional Why Mich/Why NU essays this time. Debating whether to apply to GULC.
11/03/08 - Fee waiver from Chicago came in today. Finally! Applied same day. No email from Toby Stock yet :-(.
11/06/08 - "Application Complete" from HLS today. Still no Toby Stock email. I guess my goose is cooked.
11/08/08 - Duke acceptance by email! I guess I'm going to law school. Duke's priority track did wonders for my mental sanity.
11/21/08 - No word from anyone else yet. I've given up hope on Harvard. I wish I knew why Toby didn't like me. :-(
11/24/08 - Received a complete and "under review" email from Berkeley today. Odd since the status checker shows me complete as of 11/05. Also received a mailing from Stanford. They probably just want my application fee, but seeing as I'm 99.9% not getting into Harvard, it's worth a shot. I've also received several mailings from UPenn, but they have yet to waive my fee. :-(
12/02/08 - Admitted to Berkeley - Received call from Dean Tom at 3:55 PM (CST).
12/22/08 - In at NYU. My NU interviewer totally flaked out and never got back to me, so instead of hounding her I've simply decided not to apply, fee waiver or not. And I guess applying to Michigan is kind of pointless now.

Arizona State University. The Harvard of Maricopa County.....haha.
Georgetown Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
I only regret applying there because I'm pretty sure I can get into a better school--you too obviously--and I didn't ask for a fee waiver so I spent $94 applying to a school I don't plan on attending.
NU and NYU Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 at 6:06 pm
You know I really can't give a good reason as to why I didn't apply. Maybe that I liked my chances at Columbia and Chicago, and figured that I wouldn't go to NYU or NU if I was accepted into Columbia or Chicago. In all honesty, while trying to not sound like a douche bag, I think that our numbers give us a good shot at the top three...so I was extra picky with the rest. Best explanation possible.
As far as Georgetown goes, I'd probably look at the other schools you're applying to and rank how bad you want to go there compared to the rest. If it's near the bottom, don't apply. Why apply to a school you're probably not going to go to?
My Harvard status checker says "app under review" too, so yeah it's under review. The schools that use the electronic app seem to be way faster than the rest.
How come you didn't apply to Penn?

Penn and Cornell for different areas of the country. I picked best from NYC and Chicago. Never said they were good reasons, just personal preference. ha-ha
Harvard Interview Monday, November 3rd, 2008 at 12:03 pm
He emails you and asks for a good timeframe where you're usually available, with me it was the week before he called. He won't give you a specific day, but he was good about getting it within the timeframe.
Stanford Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
I think applying to Stanford is a good idea, just to increase the odds. But I really don't think the phone call is make or break for you.
harvard interview Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
My app went to "under review" really fast (app submitted 10/28, under review by 11/4), but no call or email from Toby Stock. I'm definitely nervous. Maybe this week?
wow Monday, November 10th, 2008 at 12:08 am
I knew none of this. Well I definitely hope you get the call in the next wave. I don't see why they wouldn't! Good Luck!
thanks! Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 at 12:29 am
thanks for the info re the harvard calls/emails. how did you know about the waves? I'm impressed! (and want to find out other such useful tidbits that you/your source might have)
good luck.

Congratulations on Duke!
Berkeley email Monday, November 24th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
I got the same "complete and under review" email from Berkeley today, also after my status checker showing complete for weeks. All it did was make me nervous when checking my email. Weird.

Weird about Ave Maria. It's great to know that you now have a choice for where you'll go next year.

Similar #s Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
Congrats on your awesome acceptances so far! Plus or minus a few, we have similar #s. We also both went to a public school university. Like you my LSAT is not in the 99 percentile like other folks who have gotten into the top 10 schools. What were some of the extracurricular activities you highlighted to distinguish you from the others?
